Please help.. when sustainiac switch is off in neck position, there is no sound but works when switch is on. Also it doesn't sustain in all positions. Mine is schecter sun valley tele. Please help

The firefly I got " needed " and I say this loosely , but for those with a new bridge piece and the pickups were adequate but not great so I replaced them which was expected. The volume pots were also upgraded. Mine is not a Les Paul type. The tuners aka machine heads were ok. The frets are amazing. The set up was decent but that Bridge piece made it close to impossible to adjust and there was a rattle. Cosmetically it was mostly ok with a few slight blemishes. I am happy with my firefly.

Nice video. Tell you what, every "made in China" type guitar I've ever owned, I've had to change those awful sounding stock pickups. It's almost as if there should be an option where you can order the guitar without any pickups, then just install your own.

I have this one with the Floyd Rose and 5 others and they are worth 700-1500 bux a piece. That is a SATIN finish. It has the Alnico 5 pickups...NICE...the machines are lock downs. This dude needs lessons on how to do technical assessments. Every guitar has to get taken care of by the shop or a lutheir. This is a $200 guitar so it is not going to come perfect but everyone that I have for $50 bux to have it taken care is incredible. He doesn't even show one set of cords so can this dude even play?

I have a Firelfy 338 in purple that I bought a couple of years ago and I moded it with some overwound pickups, grover tuners, a Kaish roller bridge and .022 uf 400v capacitors and the thing rocks!

Why wouldn't you? I've got two...a 338 and a DCD w/P-90s. Both are way better than the price implies. Nice playing, btw.

Question! Since this bridge tunes the string by moving the saddle backwards and forward, doesn't it affect the intonation in the higher frets? Like, doens't it make your guitar sound out of tune after fret 12 even when it's tuned at fret 0? I mean, in all the other bridges you intonate with the typical technique of the harmonic at 12 fret and then pressing the string at the same fret, then moving the saddle depending on which one sounded sharp and so on...

Man that's beautiful and you got a screaming deal!!! I just got my first FF last year (Madcat tele) and love it. Its every bit as nice as my Squier Classic Vibes. My Squier CV days I thinknare over.

Hey, on the next project you can cover the entire guitar with the blue tape, to prevent damage to the paint, if it is important.

Considering that an equivalent Gibson would be at minimum 2 to 3 k, I'd say," YES" it is worth it!!!!!

I modded my leo jaymz w the skull n bones graphic,new knobs strap locks and had it professionally setup,i run elixir optiweb 10 46 strings,the nut was replaced w a bone nut,what a difference in tone

I have the same problem, which the volume knob doesnt work as volume, but it seems it controls a bit of tone. Everything is wired properly, i check the switch connection but it works, just the volume issues.

This video just helped me pull the trigger on a HB multiscale 7-string. I'm definitely going to throw a set of Fishman Fluence pickups in there. Thanks for the detailed video!

Man, i got one and im going through the same problem, i tested my bridge pickup wich is a seymour duncan invader and the values are all correct, i'm trying everything that i can, even changed the capacitor to a 100v 2a474j imagining that it would be stronger to make the high strings work, but still the same

Tell ya what , I’ve got the firefly goldtop w p90s and that thing is such a nice playing and sounding guitar!! The cheap p90s for some reason sound great. I think they’re around 5.7k too

I'm going to be very blunt you seem from the content you create to be a very pleasant person but you honestly are using the incorrect router you should be using a palm style router the weight of that router is imbalanced for following a polycarb or acrylic template second you have super long gangly fingers if you are looking to lose them lifting rotating tool out of a cavity is a great way to have an injury that being said the final product looked decent enough.

What glue is best to reattach a new nut? Also, did the Graphtech pt-6642-00 work as good as the factory nut? I am worried about the angled factory nut not matching the replacement.

I was looking at that same model of graphtech nut. I also noticed that my nut is slanted or at a ramp like yours was. Did the 6642-00 Graphtech work out good for you? Does it still play as nice with the new nut?

Is there a specific name for that exact chisel you used? My Schector c6 Deluxe needs a new nut as well. It was playing fine until I removed the strings! I purchased it second hand & it looked like some funny business was going on with the nut. Almost as if someone used superglue on the nut slots but, when I went back the second time, 99.99% of all fret buzz was gone & it played beautifully so I just played it the way it was until today & now this. I NEED my Schector c6 Deluxe back to 100% I have fallen in love with this guitar prior to today.

Really appreciate these troubleshooting tips! I have this exact issue and was so frustrating when all my grounds were testing OK.

I bought graphtech ratio tuners, Seymour Duncan jb/jazz set pickups, tonepro bridge and tail piece, new jack ,cts pots, switchcraft switch and sence its the buckethead ripoff i put tesi kill switches . Probably spent more than double for parts than the guitar lol. It plays great though and it was fun doing it. I have more expensive guitars already . I had a good time working on it, though, and play it more than my other guitars. If i ever get rid of it I'll take all my parts off and put back all the crap. Nothing wrong with having a good set of tuners and pickups laying around.

Since ive bought several Firefly guitars and have watched many reviews some legit and some obviously sponsored so they tend to hold back the honesty in fear of not getting new products for free Firefly started with high quality and was out only every 4 to 5 months now that production has ramped up the quality is lacking yes my FFLP is awesome and my i believe FF38? but my FFLX and i believe FFLB were garbage had several issues to many to go into and my Firefly SG copy is just okay..so basically it's either a hit or miss

Very cool watching your quick progression from the back of the first guitar to the 8 string and Jackson. One thing I'm realizing with watching artist do fluid art is that composition and technique matter a lot, so it's very interesting to see you learn that as you progress.
