A psychopath’s pursuit is calculated, deliberate, and often invisible-until it’s too late.
These pathological abusers’ pursuit is not love or even infatuation; it’s a relentless drive to possess and dominate. Unlike narcissists who seek convenient “supply,” psychopaths carefully select their prey. They may watch from a distance, learning every vulnerability, timing each encounter for maximum control.
In my life, I experienced this chilling reality firsthand. For a year before we “met,” my ex-husband had already been watching me, planning his entrance, and mapping out his control. When I eventually left him, he resumed stalking, finding ways to stay close, tracking my every move, treating me as his possession rather than a person.
My ex-husband was clinically diagnosed with Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD), embodying the Dark Tetrad-a terrifying mix of Primary Psychopathy, Machiavellianism, Malignant Narcissism, and sadistic traits.

This had to be difficult for you to post- we always try to show the strong side of ourselves- but this is the part that few see. The pain that having been manipulated and abused to the point of having a serious illness is both gut and heart wrenching- especially as the abuse is not acknowledged and the lasting effects are minimized and often overlooked. For over 20 years, I was trapped in a marriage dominated by severe Antisocial Personality Disorder and the insidious traits of the Dark Triad. The manipulation, isolation, and systematic brainwashing I endured left me questioning my own reality and shattered my sense of self. Reaching radical acceptance was a pivotal moment in my journey, marking the start of my uphill battle ⛰️ to reclaim my life. By sharing these experiences, I hope to unmask 🛡️ the destructive tactics used in PPA, which so often go unrecognized and unacknowledged 🚫. I am realizing I have had numerous of these people in my life; some quite knowledgeable about mind control. Interesting how the predators complain about one another. It seems like they practically fight over the empath. The mob maintenance guy helped me see through a female abuser who likely operated as my handler for many many years. It is a tough world. Your music will help a lot of people. As a woman who gave up a full music scholarship to attend West Point, I have always regretted giving up my music, my passion. You encourage me that maybe I can use my musical skills to help other survivors too eventually. I have always believed I would create a good life again after decades of extreme abuses.
