Add a 12 Volt Trigger to any Audio System or Amp using the BobWire AAT1 "Analog Audio Trigger"
The BobWire AAT1 is an ultra-sensitive analog audio detection device with 12V trigger outputs and an expansion relay. The instant audio is detected at the RCA inputs, the 12V trigger outputs will be energized and the expansion relay will close. The AAT1 will wait anywhere from 1 second to 10 minutes (reset delay) after the audio stops before turning off the 12V triggers and opening the expansion relay. This reset wait time is determined by the setting of the Reset Delay adjustment knob. How loud the audio signal must be to trigger the AAT1 is determined by the setting of the Audio Trigger Sensitivity knob.

    Thinking of ordering one from SPAIN to pair my Klipsch Heresy to REGA Elex amp and Pioneer AVR. Any quality loss on the performance using this device instead of going staight into the amps? What materials you use for the wiring,,and components? any chance of breaking speakers or amps if for example the spk1 looses power? Any signal going through if the SPK1 is off? Does it work on spain 220v energy from the wall? And how long does it take to get it once an order is placed? I am looking not as much for a device that switch automatic from amp to amp. More of a device that will allow me to have the same quality as wiring straight from amp to speaker. thanx a lot and excuse me if it was better to place the questions on your site

      @BobWireAudio 21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hello, you will not experience any performance or sound quality loss with the SPK1 or any of my products. One of the most important factors is that the SPK1 uses gold-on-gold contacts for the relays. This type of relay is pretty rare in audio products. The relays are "break before make" so that there is no chance of the two amps being connected together, even during a power failure. The other factors are the double thick copper circuit boards for the audio signal path. The included power supply is universal mains voltage 100-250VAC 50/60Hz but the plug style is USA. International orders are 7-10 business days for delivery. You can read a full instrumented test of the XLR1 which shows no signal losses here (it uses the same audio detection circuits and similar relays): www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/bobwire-xlr1-xlr-and-rca-switcher-review.57640/

    Hi, can I get the SPK1 in Australia? Want to add this to connect a high-quality streaming AMP to my 2 Main Front L/R speakers already connected to Sony AVR AN1000 (no PRE-OUT's sadly). I think this SPK1 is a better alternative to the "Russound ADP-1.2 Speaker-level to Line-level Adapter"?

    • @BobWireAudio
      @BobWireAudio 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hello Chris, you can purchase any of my products from my website. You may also be able to purchase through Amazon. The Russo d ADP will convert speaker outputs to RCA connections. I’m not sure this is helpful in your situation.

    • @ChrisBrownFazer1
      @ChrisBrownFazer1 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@BobWireAudio you have probably gathered the reason I was looking at the Russo was to provide a PRE-OUT for my AVR. But there is no trigger or audio sensing. If I use the SPK1 instead then basically my Front L/R Main speakers will use the AVR AMPs when selecting AV and if I turn on the 2nd Streaming AMP the stereo signal will go to my mains instead? Selecting (2 IN & 1 OUT) option. If I buy can you supply an AU socket power supply or will I need an adapter?

      @BobWireAudio 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@ChrisBrownFazer1 Yes, you are correct. The SPK1 will automatically switch between your AVR and Streaming Amp. I recommend connecting your AVR to INPUT A on the SPK1. Connect streaming amp to INPUT B. As soon as you start playing music on the streaming amp, it will immediately be connected to you speakers. I have another video showing exactly this: th-cam.com/video/sNKhu--X36o/w-d-xo.htmlsi=k5Wn2cR-3PetRwBk ( the power supply is universal mains 100V-250V but the plug is USA style.

  • @jkim4712
    @jkim4712 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Because my two channel system sounded much better with dedicated preamp than home theater processor, I have main speaker set up connected through preamp and home theater processor without home theater bypass input on preamp. I think this switcher could make things convenient. Everyone could have different idea. But for my set up, I have tested my multi channel system with and without preamp, my preamp was already transparent enough and I would not add extra switcher and wire that could bring more colorations to sound.

    • @BobWireAudio
      @BobWireAudio หลายเดือนก่อน

      It sounds like your home theater processor has preamp outputs. If you are using a normal analog input on your dedicated stereo preamp then you would be going trough two volume controls? You would need to set the volume on the dedicated stereo to about unity gain every time you wanted to use the home theater. Like you said, it is a little inconvenient since you would need to turn both units on and adjust the stereo preamp volume level to the same level each time. The other thing is that going through both units (and two volume controls) you would be doubling your distortion and noise levels. The BobWire devices distortion and noise levels are so low that they could be considered zero. Distortion is around 0.00005%. Check out a full test of one of my products by ASR here: www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/bobwire-xlr1-xlr-and-rca-switcher-review.57640/ But also, if it works for you then great!

    Curious please, I have an Apple TV, that I'd like to use to connect through the Echo Link. Problem is ATV only has HDMI and ethernet. I'd love to be able to switch to music with the TV still streaming (my cable runs through my ATV, via HDHomeRun and Channels app, so ATV controls everything). Am I going to need to punt on the TV connectivity option, and resort to pulling back out a Harmony remote/hub to get the inputs right to stream music with the Link (I packed away my Harmony remotes once I went to HDHomeRun/Channels, and Plex....)? Thanks for any thoughts/insights

      It sound like you can connect the ATV to your TV by HDMI, then use the optical out from the TV into the Echo Link. When you play music on the Echo Link it will override the ATV/TV audio. When you stop the Echo Link the ATV/TV audio will be activated. The downside is that you will need to have the TV power on to get any sound from the ATV. If your TV doesn't have an optical out then you could use the extractor that "thewightfamily" mentions below. The extractor would also let you listen to the ATV with your TV powered off.
