I'm an actor, improviser, playwright, and author from Detroit. Most of what you'll see are clips from my jukebox musical about Cass Elliot (Mama Cass) titled "Call Me Cass", but I'll load some other fun stuff too.

😮 Very impressive. I met the real ones when I was 12 in 1966. An ABC Dunhill record promoter, Matty Singer, brought them to his house. Met Brian Hyland there years earlier. These young people can sing and act!

Thoroughly enjoyed watching this and well done on nailing the arrangements and harmonies! I fully appreciate creative liberties being taken when adapting a true story for the stage/film, so I will just say that for the record, the song was in fact written by John *and* Michelle.

Favorite era of music ever, and right now I’m about to premiere my one woman cabaret about Laurel Canyon at Oakland University :) a bunch of my friends have been in shows at the Berman. I hope this show takes off for you, it’s pretty amazing and you should be proud!

Yep. You're absolutely right. There's a bit of scene after this clip where Cass admits to Michelle she really likes it but was pretending to hate it to mess with John. Just a bit of dramatization for the musical :)

@@melissawright1979 Honestly, I should have made this clip longer to include the part where Cass thought it was funny. I really leaned into the friction with her and John in the writing process, so in that part of the scene she tells Michelle she was messing with John for fun. haha

That's me, Margaret Edwartowski. I wrote this show Call Me Cass. This was a one weekend run to see it on its feet. It was in suburban Detroit in 2018

M&P reincarnated. Most M&P performances were mimed, it was so difficult to get the harmonies right. I would pay to see these guys do all the M&P songs. As real as it gets.

Love this. My one small qualm was Cass going “yup!” when Michelle asked if they all signed it. That implied that Cass agreed with it, but John strong armed the other two into signing. Cass never wanted Michelle out of the group to my knowledge
