Canada
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 14 ม.ค. 2011
With more than 200 exhibits and attractions spread over 127 acres of lush parkland, Heritage Park Historical Village has a lot to offer both the history buff and the pleasure seeker. It’s the perfect balance between historical fact, adventure, discovery and fun that makes our take on the tale of Western Canada’s history so unique. Tour the Park on an antique steam train, set sail aboard Calgary's only paddlewheel ship, visit the farm animals at the ranch, learn about Blackfoot culture in the First Nations area, explore Alberta’s energy history in Prospect Ridge and engage with Western Canada’s energy past, present and future at the brand-new STORYSEEKER exhibit. The Historical Village is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from the May long weekend until the first weekend in September, then open weekends until mid-October.
The Prairie Chicken Dance
It's one of the oldest forms of dancing in the Indigenous culture and it originates right here on the Prairies. If you've been to a powwow, you'll have seen the Prairie Chicken Dance. It's one of the most intricate dances, with amazing synchronization and artistry. In this episode, Dominic and Kesia learn about the dance and it's origins from Grant Many Heads, a senior interpreter at the Blackfoot Crossing Historical Park in Southern Alberta. This podcast was recorded in a live setting, so please excuse the lower sound quality.

The transition from the boys face to current times clothing is so well done.
And 'couplers' too.
Loved it! How nice to know the church and its organ are reunited.
This is the commercial of my childhood thank u heritage park for all the amazing memories
This is fascinating, thanks for sharing your stories!
Hello volenteer ❤
Maybe The Calgary Flames Should Visit There One Time.
Interesting,must visit this summer
Did you know I was at heritage park as a field trip I learned about 1888 and I drawn on a chalkboard it was fun❤love you heritage park❤
Wind + Solar + Batteries are already the cheapest power option worldwide INCLUDING Alberta, for the record... We need to build about 2-days worth of backup power to totally get off carbon fuels if we wanted to.. Alas I suspect the hot air blown from Downtown Calgary wants to stop this at all costs.. Hence the "TeMpOrArY pAuSe" on renewable power approvals... LOL...
The snideness of the guest in defense of Big Oil belies both history and current trends, pun intended... As was the use of the word "AGENDA" which was used pointedly and rather rudely... I suggest him and every naysayer google Tony Seba and then get back to us with such obvious claptrap... Even Saudi Arabia knows where there the future is headed... It now owns 2 EV car companies (Lucid and Ceer) on top of its 100% ownership of Saudi Aramco... And for anyone who thinks Alberta beef or Canadian Dairy will still be a viable industry in 10 years? I suggest you google "Precise Fermentation." Anything an animal can produce can be replicated better and now cheaper in a lab... Whether you morally object to the concept is irrelevant on a hungry planet with 8 billion souls and counting... History doesn't care about bias thankfully, it does what it does and soon enough one of us will be proven correct and thankfully I still believe in expert opinions and facts.. Not just a hope and a wish... That's all!
In the later half of the 70's, when i was a kid then, Heritage Park wasn't as expanded as it definitely has now, but i could tell you which places had the strongest paranormal presences, back in those days Heritage park utilized mannequins as part of the displays in some areas. And i saw one of those things move, scared the hell out of me, and to this day, i hate mannequins because of that experience. And a couple of other things that i witnessed over the years from the times i went there with my family, friends, & school field trips. I'll have to make a trip out there someday to visit and tell those stories to one of your curators, maybe even document one of them. There's only 3 stories. But that'll have to wait until i make a return to Heritage park next year.
I don’t understand why the cameraman didn’t notice the professor used ppts.
Beautiful tribute! I hope for visit this great site one day
i dont live there but nice bakery!
That's really interesting

Heritage Park es la experiencia de viajar al pasado en el Túnel del Tiempo!
Such a shame we don’t have a good proper campground in the city anymore like that. My parents also used to camp there when I was a newborn.
Parque Maravilloso!
I shouldve took a picture of this house when I first seen this house it was awesome touring this house 2 years ago to
I had so much fun at this event!
How is this authentic to a 1910 Historical park? Why aren't you guys sticking to the theme of the park and its traditions?
Imma go strike gold this railway days! YEEHAW

Interesting topic, thank you for sharing your knowledge Marlene! However, I hope someone is planning to fix the closed captions! There is a big difference between being from a "pagan" nation and the Peigan nation. And I don't think the war shirt, should be referred to as "worst shirt".
Well done Lindsey! Great presentation on the Park!
Great job on the video Lindsey. I love the Power of Place and your description of stepping aside from turmoil in the world. Well done. Have a very successful summer at the Park.
I really miss the Scottish conductor on the train.
I am enjoying the Indigenous-content videos. Thank you Nelson for sharing your culture and knowledge with us!
Actually my favourite place to visit and luckily I’m going to heritage on Thursday
Just looking at it, no wonder people say it's haunted.
Thank you so much! This has always been one of my favorite houses at the park. It’s really great to see past the roped off areas!

I go here 9 times at least every year
Love it. May I suggest that the music, although well-intended, interferes with hearing the voices?
I went there 10 times there is a... can't tell you why why? secret.
Well done, Barb! I’m drooling 😉
