Trinity is not an Ivy league school and you don't mention Wesleyan that is a better school than Trinity.
Didn't mention one big plus for the ladies, I'm here.
Thank you I work for Yale didn’t know this program was available!
I was born in New London, but raised down in Texas. It would be nice to move back up to CT.
Connecticut fucking sucks taxed to death and a bunch of idiots that keep voting for the same assholes that keep raising them. Wake the fuck up I’ve been here 62 years and every year it just keeps getting worse
I'm not from CT originally, but I've been living here for over 6 years. It still hurts my soul to pay a tax collector a property tax for my car since almost every other state would never dream of doing that. Every fiber of my being wants to rebel against it. It's a beautiful state, until you get a dose of the politics.
This might be important to some, generally we are historically and still (mostly) a socially progressive state. Plenty of MAGA to be sure and some not so quite SanFran extreme leftists, but more 70/30 as a top level mix of sane/not so much ratio. Hope this helps…
Hi there, great info. I'll be moving from NYC to Stamford this month. Do you have insight on the diversity in Fairfield County? That would be a great content topic.
Thank you for the feedback. I am working on that content and will definitely have a video up soon
@AndreCTrealtor yes, I'm moving from NY to Connecticut and would like to know about diversity
Moving to New Haven soon as a student and am so scared because I don't know what to expect. Fingers crossed
Great video bro!!
Appreciate it bro!
Don't fall for buying a home in CT or you will be an endless victim of the tax you to death democrats in our government. You are warned. As a home owner you will see how incredibly expensive it is and how the CT Democrats try to tax you out of your home. Especially the people who barely get by. Yes, young home owners. Yes, elderly home owners. Yes, disabled home owners. Yes, hard working home owners. We are all worrying how we will be able to keep our homes because the taxes are so high and keep going up and up every year. Latest example in 2024 is the repeal of car property taxes. A great thing you would think. Who wouldn't love to not pay some taxes for a change? But you don't think the greedy democratic politicians are going to go without their money do you? No. They are shifting the tax burden onto home owners by raising their property taxes to cover the loss. Yes, if you buy a house you will be sorry because that is where the state goes for easy pickings to fleece people out of money now. I know, its not just home owners who will suffer from this. Its going to be really bad for renters too. You can bet your landlord will be raising your rent by a lot more than you are going to save by not paying car taxes. Irony? No. Purposeful misdirection and deception by democratic politicians who smile at you as they say they are doing something good for you while grabbing behind your back to take it all back and more. What can we do about it? Let them know we are not fooled. If you want to afford a house in CT the only thing you can do is give democratic politicians a clear message the only way they listen and understand. Vote them out of office. You have to do it now. You have to do it in the next election you can. Do not wait until your grandparents or your disabled friends or relatives or you are pushed out of living in a home and reduced to living in a car. Now that is the real irony that your democratic politicians snicker about behind your back. Repeal your car tax because you will be living in your car. Vote all democrats in CT out of office so they understand. Its the only thing you can do.
Living in Connecticut you better have a lot of Ky gel because you're going to get screwed this is one of the most corrupt States taxes taxes taxes everybody got your pocket and the amazing thing is roads are still among the worst in the country in other words they take all your money and Harley do any services it's insane It's just like most blue States these days but it's the worst I've seen.

Connecticut is by far my favorite state of the country, is not as crowded or big as other states, and it has some of the most luxurious houses in the country. Planning on moving there in the near future. The only negative thing I can say is obviously taxes but new york and Boston are way more expensive.
Lived in New Milford from 1979-1985 coming from Atlanta, Ga . The best part about living there was leaving. It was safe and quiet, but the people had an arrogance about themselves that was difficult to understand or get along with. I have not been back in over 30 years, but it is on my bucket list to visit to see what has become of the place.I hope the DEI and woke culture hasn’t screwed the place up too much.
Tax rates depend on the city/town you live in. Hamden has the highest NON-CITY mil rate in the state. Several years ago, my mortgage payment (principal+interest+insurance+taxes) increased by $300/month due to a town tax increase. Connecticut has its beautiful spots, but when I retired, I moved to North Carolina.
Hi, are you still an agent in CT?
Good Morning Kimberly. Yes I am still an agent in CT. You can give me a call at 203.581.1704 or schedule a time to talk at calendly.com/andrectrealtor
Fairfield County and you didn't mention Bridgeport the most populated city
It's a famn shame people like that makes a job hard to enjoy😢
Pros - everything taxable Cons - everything taxable.
As a longtime CT resident (over 40 years) who has lived all over the state but also in a few other states, here's my advice to people considering it. It's not cheap. If cost is an important factor, choose another state. CT is one of the most unprejudiced states in the country -- race, sexual orientation, religion -- the overwhelming amount of CT residents don't care. This was the third state to legalize same sex marriage for a reason -- we like to mind our own business. BUT...what I tell people (half in jest) is that in CT the only people we're prejudiced against are poor people. As long as you have money no one will discriminate against you for anything here. You could be a purple alien from Betelgeuse and you would be welcome anywhere. No matter what kind of lifestyle you choose, there is a spot for you in CT. If you like culture and dining, you can get it in New Haven and Stamford as well as having the short train ride into NYC from anywhere in Fairfield county. Small town living among the wealthy -- New Canaan, Darien, Litchfield, and more. Living on the shore with your boat nearby -- Greenwich, New London, Westport, and more. Living in a rural woodsy setting with low population, horses, skiing, and outdoor sports such as fishing and hiking in spades -- most of Litchfield County. Whatever you like we have it. Recreational weed is legal. The schools here are terrific. The public schools in the suburbs are amazing and we have a dozen stodgy New England prep schools with $50K+ annual tuition as well. A college admissions counselor once put it to me this way: A 2.7 GPA in a CT HS is the equivalent of a 3.5 GPA in most of the US. All that being said -- it's not for everybody and we actually like to keep it exclusive. If you come here leave your prejudices behind and don't complain about the real estate prices or the taxes -- most people will get bored with you and walk away. You can dine in a restaurant here and drop $400 for two while wearing jeans or even shorts. If you try to get some books banned from the school library expect to find yourself as persona non grata in the town where you lived -- we tend to be highly educated as a whole (nearly 50% of adults have a Bachelor's or higher and in many town the number is > 80%) and we don't play that crap here. There's a lot of laid back, creative people with money especially in the northern part of the state, so don't expect to be treated like a king because you bring in six figures -- the MEDIAN income is > $100K in a very large percentage of CT towns. Young people with salaries of $75K in Stamford often share an apartment with roommates. Home prices are VERY high.
Thinking of moving here with my husband and son. Born and raised in Cali so when I see people talk about taxes, and doing my research it seems like CT is still more affordable regardless. I guess as a Cali native I am use to the high cost of living and taxes we see every year. Cant be much worse.
Look into Massachusetts. I moved to Massachusetts from CT.
*I was raised in Ridgefield CT. one of the consistent top 5 towns in the state, I also lived in Washington Depot in Litchfield and Madison on the shore. I left CT for good in 2002, it use to be a beautiful fun state with a great lifestyle, alas that is all gone.*
Why?
It still is a beautiful state. Maybe you changed? It happens when we hit certain ages and start needing different things.
@@Ninjanimegamer *The state itself always was beautiful, that was not the issue.*
CT sucks get out asap. TN is much nicer.
Absolutely the most stuck up state in the country. Vapid, miserable people with fancy cars and mansions. The whole vibe is condescending.
that shot of "New York" is actually Chicago
'Between NYC and Boston' has made Connecticut worse. Nothing is there since people can travel to NYC or Boston for that.
You forgot about Bridgeport in Fairfield. Has a great new concert place!
Excellent video, thank you!
This was very informative. Are you active on this page recently
This man called Trinity an Ivy and then forgot Wesleyan. Lmao.
How did you just skip over Norwalk as a notable city of Fairfield county? New Canaan? Bro Norwalk is the 6th largest city in the state.
With this program the mortgage is goin to be higher?
Not necessarily. The interest rate in the market dictate that not the programs
Great Video u said more in four minutes than others that took 10 minutes plus
Thank you

Are there good paying cybersecurity jobs in conneticut?
Regarding the Yale program. Is it for Yale New Haven Health employees or Yale University? They are two different entities.
Sorry for the late reply. It's all Yale employees health and University
I grew up in Connecticut (Stamford) for almost 19 years, and I met my buddy who used to own a brand new car (2010 Nissan 350Z) and a house property near Waterbury We have been friends since 1999 until 2011. The funny story was that the state taxed him for his brand new car every year! I was like, LOL! 😂😂
Yea the car taxes you definitely have to account for
Connecticut is nice but u forgot to mention there are bears all over the state now
I try to stay away from the bears as much as possible! lol

Wow! Connecticut is beautiful! I assume pics of Barnes & Nobles, Micheal Jordan steakhouse etc of beautiful downtowns I assume they are New Haven or Hartford near by cities what cities are they didn’t know Connecticut had such beautiful downtowns very modern looking
Nice state but taxes too high bruh
Thank you
1. Is it black friendly 2. Is safe place visit and live 3. How close is it to Canada 4. Cost of living
1. It is very diverse 2. Yes and relative to where you are coming from also 3. Canada depends. Montreal is about a 8hr drive. Took that drive myself 4. Compared to our neighboring Boston and New York, affordable
@@AndreCTrealtor cool it’s not state known for influx of NY Philly and surrounding places for thugs also does it have a beach what’s some of most popular cities in Connecticut also go UConn I like Hawkins that guard you had pick Vermont vs conn I assume conn anywhere else not conn that black & family friendly not too racist and too many bad people Conn seems undar the radar which not ness a bad thing you don’t want problems of people bad ones moving place like LA Miami so on it looks beautiful there thank you!
There is no racism in Connecticut
Do you help with personal loans for mortgages? I wanted to get a co-op in success village in bridgeport, ct. they are cash only sales. 40-80k. The woman in the office said they don’t except mortgages but they do accept personal loans.
I have a lender that may be able to help with that. Select a time that works best for you www.calendly.com/andrectrealtor and we can go over that

Shame the state has been destroyed by New Yorkers over the past 40 years.
Sorry that you feel that way.
However I would like Meridan, Hartford or Waterbury multi family since so many people move to those areas
