Honda Bay Beach Tour on a Motorbike - Budget Friendly Travels
Start renting a motorbike from one of the many shops in Puerto Princesa. Prices typically range 300-500 Php. per day, depending on the type of bike. Make sure to check the condition of the motorbike, bring your license or any valid I.D and take a helmet for safety.
First stop: Honda Bay - Head north of the city (around 30 minutes from Puerto Princesa) to the beautiful Honda Bay.
Island Hopping (optional): You can also consider taking a short boat ride for island hopping tours around Starfish Island or Luli Island. These tours are relatively affordable but can be skipped to save money. Lunch break: Local seafood is fresh and budget - friendly.
Nagtabon Beach (not included on the video) : No entrance fee. Continue our ride the next day to this serene, uncrowded spot that is a favorite among locals. Relax, swim, and enjoy the stunning views. Pack a picnic or stop at a local eatery (carinderia) for a cheap and delicious Filipino meal. Parking is usually none or inexpensive, and you can enjoy a swim or boat ride.
Cowrie Island: a perfect spot!

What's the mode of commuting within the city for tourists?
There are very few taxis and we couldn't find any motorbike rentals so mostly tricycles
How hard or easy is it to find a place to live there?
Fairly easy. We usually ask the drivers if they know of anything. There are a couple of nice places in the area.
Did he try the gravy?
I did. The gravy is definitely good.
One day I will dive in this hole 🕳️
500-1000 USD for foreigner work seems very high
He also did not mention the fact Colombian employers tend to hire locals over foreigners and you need a cedula to work in the country.
Nice video; I’m about 2 years from retirement and I am considering Tagaytay for our home 😊
Thank you for watching. The only thing it's missing is the ocean nearby.
Good info
Thank you
It is expensive for rent there. Crap…
It is expensive
It can be done for less. This is more of a Western lifestyle.
Building a house now in Tagaytay. Be there in April. Ready now!!
Exciting times
How much did it cost to build the house ? How many squares meters?
i have thalassophobia qwq but thats beautiful ( wala lang pera pumunta sa palawan xd)
You're a horrible narrator.
I wil try it
I just saw this video that came up in my feed. My wife and I moved to the Philippines a little over 5 years ago after I retired. We had traveled around the Philippines so we had an idea of where we wanted to live. Our daughter and her Husband lived in Alfonso, a small city west of Taygaytay. We found a house being built out in the country/jungle and we fell in love with it. The climate here was perfect for me and we have a lot of fruit trees, coffee trees and Cacao trees. I also just did a video of my yard. My wife opened a Liquor Store in Alfonso, so that keeps her busy and I make videos around the area. This is a great place to live and we love it.
Absolutely agree. The weather is amazing. I just dont want to travel more than 10 mins for a beach on the ocean. Once we are done traveling around we will probably settle somewhere on Palawan.
@@lostslowtraveler Palawan was on our short list, but since I am an. old fart we decided I needed to near really good medical care and the VA clinic in Manila. Of course my wife wanted to be closer to family. We got that here. We don't live in a gated community so we have 5 dogs now. They are friendly dogs but they let us know when some critters are on our property. When we want to travel, familly stays at our house and takes care of the dogs. We enjoy our life here and the people that live near us.
In case you don't already know, the VA only takes care of service connected issues here.
@@lostslowtraveler I do have a sevice connected disablity but some sevices I can't get there. I do get the vaccines and 6th month physicals there. For other services, I just go to the Taygaytay Medical Center. It's not that expensive. My medicines I just go to Mercury Drugs.
Honestly, I absolutely hate deep water and all of that, cause I have a fear of the ocean. But this? This is beautiful❤
It I’m looking for a long term rental for my wife and I here- can I do it?
You absolutely can. We found several places. My girlfriend is friends with several of the local drivers and we had them take us around looking for places. That would be what I suggest.
Another heads up. It's normal for them to as for 1-2 months advance plus 1 month security. Which is still less than 1 months rent in the US.
If you email us at lostslowtraveler@gmail.com or message us on our Facebook page I can send you some pics of business cards from the best places
I live in there
Got a room for rent? Lol
I'm so happy god made earth beautiful😀😀😀😊
Great video brother. I really appreciate the helpful content!
And I appreciate the comment.

Congrats on the new bike little buddy! We will probably come back through there again at some point. Still have a lot of adventures ahead of us though.
Viva Bahia Santa Marta y parque de los novios
Do you have information on broadband internet speed in Santa Marta (Download/Upload)? Gracias
It was about 36 download and 10 to 12 upload when I was there. I also experienced frequent outages. But it wasnt something I was paying for so it could be possible to do better. Its also been 2 years since Ive been there.
New sub. Tagaytay is always so awesome!
And the weather is awesome
Where can I find real estate in El Rodadero and is the buying process complex for foreigners?
Sorry, I cant help you with that at all. Maybe someone in the comment section can. Ill pin this to the top.
Is it cheaper than thailand lets say pattaya or is it the same
Dont know, haven't lived in Thailand yet.
@@lostslowtraveler algood ive done some research and yes its cheaper..boomboom is 50% cheaper too thought you would appreciate that tip
It's generally cheaper in the philippines but some islands like bohol are kinda expensive
What's the total monthly expenses for you? Sounds like $ 2k - $2500 in BGC?
It was between $1600 - $1800. Could have spent less with a little effort.
Is the pier near the Mactan airport is it?
No, it's about a 30 min Grab ride. What are you trying to do?
Wow....what a beautiful place.....
It really is
when you move your camera from right to left.. you should do it slowly. it makes you dizzy the way you do it!!! $20.00 per hour for Spanish lessons,, I think is too EXPENSIVE for COLOMBIA!.
This was filmed with camera glasses, so that is me walking and turning my head. Wasnt really planning on doing TH-cam videos at the time.
The food scene and especially street food is pretty dismal in Colombia if compared to SE Asia or India. I just went to a mid range burger restaurant in Pereira and it was just under 40,000 pesos for a burger, fries and a drink. In Bangkok, KL or Bali you could eat for two people in a restaurant and get waaay better quality food for $10 USD. Food scene is lame in Colombia if you're used to SE Asia and East Asia. Burgers, chuzos, hotdogs, arepas for street food - that sucks!
Absolutely agree. But if you find some local friends they can generally cook
@@lostslowtraveler nahh I just get my girlfriends and their moms to cook for me. I've been coming to Colombia for over a decade and know tons of people and have tons of friends. Colombians don't typically invite foreigners to their houses to cook for them. That's not a cultural thing here.
Really India? That's legit the worst country in the world to visit
@@ComedyGold-ml8wc "legit" whooa you're so eloquent. Where did you learn to speak? The Indians in India speak better English than you. You're a legit millennial or Gen Z. 😂😆🤪

Yes, there are lots of Christmas decors now being sold at department stores, the countdown has begun!
It definitely starts early here
Your monthly rent is more than my month's expenses which includes feeding at least 25 pets.
Thats good for you! Where do you live?
@@lostslowtraveler I'm staying in one of the cities in a province in Central Luzon and just spending for essentials.
Gotcha, the area I was in was the expensive area for manila
keep exploring the Philippines sir
I am. Although I just came back from Taiwan. Those videos will be coming soon!
Good content on the video of Puerto, your voice is very muffled though. Perhaps get a clip on mic. Keep it up!
I have one now, but thanks for the constructive criticism. It always helps.
Also, I liked the way you vlogged the "pot"growing in the pot with the other plant. Nice baby sativa!
@mikebro1 lol, yea thats at Play Pong
I rent a 2 bedroom nice furnished house in bococho for 7500 pesos or 500 a month.
Thats a good deal!
@@lostslowtraveler prices are high right now, Mexico was real busy during Covid, but the world has reopened ( Asia is much cheaper) plus the Canadian dollar has gone down 30% ..Intrest rates up. Less people this year.. prices are are dropping.
@Mexicantours Yeah Im actually in the Philippines right now.

Very nice video, informative and pictoral. ❤❤❤ Anybody that "aspires to live like the 1st world" 😂😂 has been brainwashed by toxic & poisonous consmerism, dominated by Big Oil's need to sell cars to keep prices up.
