wan•abs - SEADY RALTED (2022)
'SEADY RALTED' is the fourth studio album by English rock band wan•abs, first released on 28 November 2023 through the band's own label, EtPue Records. The band started to write material for the album in the Winter of 2022, whilst finishing off their previous album, 'At this point it's more counterculture to not get a tattoo'.
The album includes the singles "If She Didn't Know Then (She Sure Knows Now)", "Me", and "Handwriting". Musically, 'SEADY RALTED' is much more dynamic than the band's previous efforts, and features a wider variety of sounds, genres, and production styles than any of the band's previous releases.
The album was initially intended to be three separate EP's, with a different band member taking the lead role on each one. However, this idea was scrapped in favour of a more traditional writing/recording approach early in the process. The album's artwork still features a nod to this idea, having the intended covers for each of the EP's in the top corner.

Al 6 songs are not close to being bad or "silly" (as George says on one), He recorded many more songs for the "All things Must Pass" album. "Cosmic Empire" could have been a big hit. Hope his son and Oliva, gather the unreleased songs on one or two cds.

Stunning! Absolutely. "Fear Of Flying" is absolutely out of this world. I bet George would've loved it too! I do wonder if Dhani & Olivia have full demos of "Fear of Flying", "Valentine's Day" and others I've heard George made demos of. One thing. If I could be bold... Volume-wise... George's voice is up and down in volume. Just his vocals. Maybe a touch of compression (on George's vocals Only). Great job. You are super talented. Is that you playing everything? P.S. "Mother Divine" is a #1 hit. (Hare Krishna at the end is awesome! ) Especially if it was an Apple single! B-side "Cosmic Empire"?

They're great songs and thanks for your efforts, but you've gone too far with the backing vocals, ... they add nothing, they're over-kill and something George never did. Frankly, they add a kind of unnecessary easy-listening blandness which totally spoils the originals.
