Structural Analysis - Karamba 3D Grasshopper Plugin for Rhino
มุมมอง 677ปีที่แล้ว
Karamba 3D is a Grasshopper Plugin for Rhino that allows for quick and relatively insightful analysis of a design model directly from Rhino. Realy helpful to evaluate and understand where principal stresses are and where load cases are most severe. Good tool to iterate and refine in the early stages of a design before a structural engineer is able to provide input and design.

Hi Shaunt , Wondering if you could identify architecture styling a small building in Annapolis Royal Nova Scotia, it's was described as a Beaux Arts building,( during the rebuild of the town after the great fire of 1921),but I'm not sure if was the Architects actual intention. I do have an original 1922 photo ,which is when the building was in its final stage of completion.

Confirming: Lever House is in fact a designated and protected New York City Landmark [No. 1277] and is also on the National Register of Historic Places. I wasn't 100% sure during the lecture so this is confirmation. It was designated in 1983. npgallery.nps.gov/NRHP/AssetDetail/e0c6864e-c545-4225-b668-88a8ed60d9cb

“Public spaces could be inspirational and functional their best, architecture could inspire us to our highest discourse and behavior.” The fact that architecture is so often a permanent public act, gives us the opportunity to celebrate Bill Patnaude’s work well past his time with us. It’s what I believe would bring Bill the greatest joy, for us to talk about his work, write about his work and the work of others…..to engage in a discourse about architecture, the city, history. That to me can be the greatest outcome of this event. That we achieve a higher level of dialog about buildings, how they make us feel, the impressions they give us as we move through them, the memories they evoke.
