Didn't ask for this, didn't look it up. I don't even own anything more lethal than a BB gun. But thank you very much for your comprehensive explanations!
You are welcome. I rarely shoot anything more lethal than a BB gun.

Where can you purchase a lasso like yours
Howdy Crazy Daisy, Western Stage Props is one place you can order spot cord trick rope. The other good place is from me. From me it is more expensive, but I can get the right length for your height and adjust the weight of the honda to suit the length of the rope and the type of tricks you are interested in. I am happy to advise you regardless of where you get the rope. Are you interested learning a few basic tricks or are you aiming at working up to some more advanced tricks as well? Are you wanting to perform for an audience or simply for your own enjoyment? Are you in the U.S. and if yes, what state?
I’m trying to do more advanced tricks. I’d love to be able to get to the texas skip. I currently can do the wedding ring and basic flat loop but I’d love to do some more complicated tricks. I’m based in NYC and looking to perform for entertainment. I’d very open to ordering from you if that’s possible
@@CrazyDaisyMara Do you already have a show? How tall are you? Do you perform the flat loop with your wedding ring rope?
I do have a show already. I do perform the flat loop with my wedding ring rope, i use the same one. I’m very beginner though. I am 5’5
Since you use the same rope, I assume that you can make your loop grow while spinning it. You have two options for the Texas Skip. You can purchase a heavy honda texas skip rope or you can put a small stopper on your wedding ring rope if it is long enough. A stopper is not what most ropers use but, if done correctly, the audience can't see it and that's what matters. Actually, no one can see it unless you give them your rope to examine. Also it makes your Wedding Ring/Flat Loop rope more versatile. If you have a full trick roping show, you might want to use more than one rope during the show. But, if you are doing some rope tricks as part of a bigger show, you might not want to take time to change ropes. My email is: rhinestoneroper@gmail.com It is much easier for me to discuss these issues if done by email.
Can you spin a 38 S&W special?
Man, I would love to be able to do that! It’s looks so cool and fun!
You're an excellent teacher! I haven't done any roping in about 10 years, that's when my TBI gave me a never-ending intractable migraine. We had to sell our horses too since I couldn't take care of them. They were what I practiced roping on ...
I've got a rancher friend, apparently her husband can do an ocean wave. (Me, I've never even held a rope, it all looks terribly complicated to me. 😅)
Totally agree on your advice for the length of the barrel. I named mine "Johnson" by the way.
Your moves are smooth as butter
Can someone help me spin it forward I have the right movement but I don’t get a enough momentum for 2 or more spins, or it comes off my hand and I can’t bend my finger to a real curve
Sure. What are you spinning?
@ Denix peacemaker 5.5 inch barrel
I'm learning this because of Dante from the Devil May Cry series
This is amazing, thank you! Needed this as some dude embarrassed me doing judo on my when my Makarov jammed. Gave me a whole lecture and said I'm not cut out for automatics due to my tendency to absorb the recoil by twisting my elbow. Yeah, so. I'm getting to practice.
A Ruger Blackhawk will bloody your index finger. The Vaquero is pleasant in comparison
Russell Crowe's brief spin moment in 3:10 to Yuma was epic given the circumstance
Your camera man needs to back up!
I agree.
ultrakill.
The video would be so much better without the music.
I am slowly learning that lesson.
I’m just tearing up my fingers😂😭
What gun are you using?
@ It’s a High Standard, Sentinel Deluxe. 9 shot 22 caliber.
Thanks for sharing. Very good viedo
Thank you too
Are you aware of a character named “Revolver Ocelot?”
Yes. I think that who ever created him did some homework.
Can you hit the target?
Yes I can. But don't be asking about the target.
GOOD
Pretty cool knot. Im a wear it
Great instructions. They helped me a lot in getting to know my Vaquero a bit better.
Great to hear!
Great to include safety tips! Maybe put ye beginning even. Nice demo. Separator gets separated from machine... aptly named. 😎
All you need is the front sight guard on and you won't get shoulder cut.
WONDERFUL
Thank You.
Very impressive
Very helpful. The videography and commentary is clear and concise. I easily followed the instructions for a complete disassembly and reassembly. Thanks so much.
Glad it helped! Last night I had to replace the hammer plunger in one of my New Vaqueros. I had to bring up my own video to remember how to get it back together.
Great Job Jase lots of help.
Great video I am glad you showed what knot to do. I made my own four hook spinner out of wood and used car toothed timing belt screwed to wood blanks as the gears. An old Shepheard in Lancashire UK showed me how to make a 2 strand sisal rope using a bench vice and a brace and bit using a screwdriver shaft to keep the strands separated (wind forward, hold the middle and fold it back to the vice and wind reverse to finish) Many years later I made "strings" for my mother on law for her knitted baby mitts. I used the door handle and a Battery Operated Milk Frother. ;-)) it was much quicker than her method.
I wanna get into gun spinning, I can see it being a bit tricky as you basically have to violate every firearms safety rule known to man. So I’ll just make sure to double check that it’s clear first.
Right! Maybe triple.
Can u help me with what rope u are using i have what i call a hard rope but your rope looks more bendy than mine what kimd of rope is it that you are using ?
Yes my rope may be more flexible. It's called Cotton Spot Cord. It's 3/8 inch in diameter, made of cotton and woven braid instead of twisted. It can be ordered from me or from Western Stage Props. My rope is also painted to preserve it and give it just a little stiffness.
How do you keep the Hondu from slipping
Good question. Eventually you want the honda to slip so you can change the size of the loop. But you can make your honda tighter so that the friction is increased. That way it doesn't slide as easily. You can also add weight to the honda or take weight off. If you find that your honda is always sliding away from your hand, the honda may be too heavy. If it is sliding towards your hand, it may be too light. You need to experiment with the weight so you can find a happy medium that works best for you, the tricks you most often use and your style of roping. If you are using a 20ft rope for all your tricks, you will realize that your handa may be perfect for your butterfly but on the light side when you increase the size of loop. You will need to adjust your speed on those bigger tricks so that the centrifugal force of the loop doesn't over power your honda and slide it up. When you are learning, you can also put a rubber band on either side of the honda or both sides to keep it from sliding. Then when you have the trick, take one or both of them off. If the honda is sliding when you don't want it to, you have to ask why. It could be your honda. It could also be that your wrist motion has a glitch. With the wedding ring, usually the honda slides away. To learn the wedding ring, I suggest that you put a rubber band on both sides of the honda so it won't slip while you are learning the trick. As you learn it, you can take the bands off and adjust the speed of your loop and/or adjust your wrist motion as you release the loop to start the trick. If you video your best attempt and send it to me I can take a look and possibly make suggestions. Rhinestoneroper@gmail.com
I learned how to spin guns from T.J. Lazer back in the late 80s.
i love this im trying hard to learn
Cómo estás seguro de que el arma no se dispara?
Ok, what do you do if you want a 200 foot rope ?
I've never made a 200footer. I've made a few 120ft. 200 is possible but it would be best to have a couple helpers in the middle keeping the three strands apart. You need to keep a close eye on the weight as it rises to the pully, because the weight will rise up to the pulley and the rope will no longer have slack to allow twisting. So, when the weight reaches the pully, you move the machine closer to the pulley so that the weight goes back to the ground. Then continue turning the handle. You will have to do this several times. It's not a fast project.
Farm n Fleet. :-)
Bro is Arthur Morgan
That's the one i wanted to see! You call it "flat spin" and i called it "Johnny Ringo," but either name you give it, it's pretty badass. Seeing the fingers go UNDER the gun was the key to the trick that i needed to see! Off to try it myself! Thanks!!
Thank you very much for this exercise. I wońt even spin like you, but I will train it 😅
You can do it!
Good video. Great helper! Is he for hire if I need to make some rope? Are rope making machines like that still made? Thank you for this video.
Thank you. Yes Fred Mueller in Sheridan Wyoming makes them.
I could hear you a lot better if you would turn off that dang music.
Some people really need to get out more
😆
Hey brother those are called cases, shotguns shoot shells 😉 love your stuff, that’s just a pet peeve of mine lol
Dropped my gun about 10 times, clipped my finger nail 3 times and clicked a few fingers all during watching this video trying to copy 😂 I think my fingers are fubar
Does anyone get finger blisters?
Yes, you just have to change tricks when your skin starts to get red.
great video but your music is too loud
Sorry about that. it's not that loud until I post it. I'll keep working on it.
