probably not, airflow wont pull the arc into the bowl

You have to dig it into the bowl but it works perfectly fine, it's actually better than normal lighters because you can hold it upside down

Lighting a joint like a cigarette gets you uneven burns, best is to try and just get it to burn after that you can puff it
