Saw them for the first time a few weeks before this at Red Rocks and they absolutely destroyed. They were on fire in 94’. 🔥
Best
My first show!!!! Didn't even realize Stash from A Live One was this night!!!
SO GOOD UGH
Hot show from start to finish
Was all over when Fish got eye surgery
Can’t tell that it’s full sun and daylight for 90.% of first set
Present
1994 was a great 👍 year for Phish. This show to all the great 😊 shows to the Beatles White Album 💿 on Halloween 🎃 to a Hotdog 🌭on NYE?
Nice, was there both nights! I remember coming around the corner approaching the pavilion when Llama kicked in. This is my first time learning there's a video of it! 🤘😎
I was there. Best show ever. I remember playing hacky sack in route 495 because so many more people showed than there were tickets. The highway was completely stopped......😂
That Stash. Oh that thing. It is a part of a dream world that sometimes shows up, now more real
just remembered i was at this show
1:22:39 - 1:22:44 ... Jesus fucking christ man... I'm still finding things he does to this day that just fucking blows my mind... can't even compute after that little arpeggio
Love how this is mixed. Paige is so much louder than more modern recordings. He's really on fire for that Llama.
Thanks phish for being phish.
Pavilion in front of tapers.
thank you phish for continuing to be a unique phish every time for our listening pleasure!
Wow that was fucking amazing! Like a rock opera 🔥
The fact that I just got to watch the Stash from A Live One- the same track that blew my mind open when I first heard it, and then proceeded to listen a further hundred more times, is fascinating within itself. I never knew that beyond that track there was aa wonderful show surrounding it I never heard. They were utterly on fire throughout this entire performance. So glad it was captured professionally and shared. A lovely treat!
I just woke up to this playing and I was at the show...so sick!!! These guys were lit 🔥 Good times
was this their first time playing at great woods? and is this the stash that is on the "a live one" album? thanks
I was there! It was 10 times experience-wise the previous show I saw at Mullins Center that spring. Pretty amazing times. Trey was a force of nature. That tone! The whole band was functioning as a unit. (edit: yes Gamehenge) It was just uniquely rocking and mind blowing to my 17 yd old brain at the time. We camped somewhere after the show, that was a bit wild.
Fuck I love rift.
Unpopular opinion: Gamehendge is cringe.
This was one of my last shows after a good 5 year run. It was heavy in lots of ways. Great to relive it here, 30 years later. Thanks 🤙

Thanks for posting this. Wish they would’ve just kept all the Dinner and a Movie videos on TH-cam
I was at this concert!!! Watching this brought me right back. The energy was so electric. Such a cherished time
No one gives a shit. A lot of people were at a lot of concerts. Let's all stop raising our hands and saying "fucking ME TOO".
Be nice
Glad
@@brookeb3056 nice ME TOO! tripped face in the grass section which now sadly no longer exists!
Missed by one night
Tbh I think you got a pretty awesome show, even tho the Gamehendge set is legendary.
I’ve said this before on other videos but I never realized Mike played his modulus before 97.
Yep. 1994 is the earliest known appearance of a Modulus. Halloween video is evidence as well.
The great thing about this show was that many of us had no idea what Gamehenge was. We knew some of the songs but not the story. I remember seeing a “follow me to gamehenge” bumper sticker the week before at Old Orchard Beach and wondering what it meant. This show is definitely top 3 live for me. So great to have it recorded to watch again!
Trey is a beast.
Awesome
Love it
The Stash from this show will haunt my dreams until the end of my days.
I saw the red rocks shows ..a great fun time
Thirty years gone.
Yeah, but think of the time we live in.

Perhaps the greatest phish show of all time but the woods were even greater the secret set nature jam at Mondegreen rivals this and even Riverport Gin. Yes I dare blaspheme and say that. The secret set was THAT level Monet art
I wouldn't see them for another 4 years after this, but got to see Col. Forbin & McGrupp at my first show! 90's Phish set a bar for live music that may never be matched.
The ending of Lizards to me encapsulates all the magic that is Phish. That melody that builds dynamically to a raging crash of sound is the epitome of their music. Trey has a few of these moments and they're all insanely beautiful.....he's really come up with some legendary motifs, often not even complex just melodically perfect. Divided Sky, Horn...but Lizards is my favorite, that ending could last an hour and it doesn't get old
It's ridiculous how good this is...there will never be another band like this. And 94 is the watermark IMO, like HST wave speech. Glad I was able to witness it numerous times, it's made an impact on my life
Totally agree. I am biased being that 1994 was the first year I saw them live, but from the memories and from revisiting these wonderful videos that we are so fortunate to have, 94 was definitely a magical time for them. There were still shows you could catch in 94 that were pretty small number wise and some of the venues were intimate, prime example my first show was held at the same place that some local high school graduations were held. But even seeing the small venues, you could feel the magic surrounding the scene and you knew that we were seeing some of the last intimate shows because they were growing in popularity at a crazy rapid rate, then add to that the death of Jerry Garcia in 1995, things just blew up. Anyway, the shows in 94 were just ridiculous, and it was also the time where two of my all time favorite phish albums were released, rift and hoist. What a time!!!
Nah it’s lame af
Heck of a yem
insane ice. page side mf rage side
hair was just fluffier in the 90s
Stoked to be seeing them this weekend, 30 years later!
They were so on, especially Trey. That whole year, and '95, my favorites. '95 was my first show too.
I was there and nearly lost whatever I had left of my mind when they started Gamehendge! Still a scorcher of a show 30 years later.
I will be driving in a huge rainstorm later...will be enjoying this show in the car and the show outside
da fuq is that dentist chair rap??? so dumb, I'm sorry...this is why I just cant dig these guys no matter how hard I've tried...and I tried..I saw them at Nectar's and in private in Boston in '87
Nobody cares.
@@conjandysecurity you did lol 🤙🤙
más duro que infancia en Siria
The Stash from A Live One!
Was not expecting to see you here lol
Indeed a fabulous show, my second after seeing them 10 years earlier at Nectars. Looking forward to the shows next weekend back at the same venue!
