This is a natural reserve between Puebla and Mexico City. It's called 'Paso de Cortés', and it's the place from where the Conquistadors took a first glimpse of old Aztec capital city 'Tenochtitlan' -now Mexico City Downtown- and they were amazed at its greatness and architecture. Biking from work to home, stopping at the beach, in Acapulco, is something I just love from this place. It's a shame many people (and government) from here just don't care about maintaining the city clean, safe and ordered. Anyways, I try to enjoy what's enjoyable. Cheers!

Magma is probably the creator of the movement "Zeuhl", which is this type of music, difficult to classify into any other type of music..... enjoy.

people say its prog, but they are wrong, people say its "fusion" and they are also wrong, its zeuhl.
"Zeuhl" is pronounced like that because of the eternal vibration of reality, like so: Zzzzzzzzzzuehl. Thats what the title of the genre means. Kind of goes beyond genre if you ask me, you could even say we'd be better off if all music was played in the Zeuhl spirit.

Wow! I did not know this version... Different than my favorite from 1978 (Paris), but a real fire! Amazing! Magma is just UNBELIVABLE! (my fave along with Henry Cow & Genesis) Thank you so much for posting this piece! Do you know who's on bass and, who's the other guy singing? AND: I saw them live (!!!! :-) just yesterday (Apr 10'15) at Reggie's, Chicago. MAGIC concert! No words can describe..!
MagdalenaKG I think it's Philippe Bussonet on bass - pretty sure he's been with the band since they first reformed in the mid-90s. No idea who the other male vocalist is. I just saw them live too - April 2nd in Vancouver. Unbelievable show.
It is Philippe Bussonnet on bass (similar to today) and Bertrand Cardiet on vocal ;)

Great stuff from one of my 2 fave bands (the other being Yes). A slightly different version than usual - are the keyboards slightly out of tune? Yes, Vander is an underrated singer; he has tremendous expression in his voice. I can't get enough of this band and the current line-up is one of the best.

Thanks for posting this... I have it on DVD but it's still nice to have it out there. Especially love this passage, heavy and frantic at the same time. I really like Bussonet and McGow, they really became pillars of the band, and they manage to reach a level of intensity comparable to Vander's, without overdoing it. In my opinion this series of concerts for their 30th anniversary showed one of the most powerful band formations Magma has ever known.
