Looking back on this performance it wasn't about promoting gun control but rather gun safety. The image of the child picking up a unsecured gun from a bag really hit it home for me. I still believe we can make strides and common ground on the gun safety issue we just have to lock out the extremists on both sides.

I wonder why they skipped the second verse

My dad had this on VHS when I was a kid, as much as bono is disliked now and as cringe as U2 are.. This left a big impression on me, growing up in a northern english town with a lot of irish immigration and ancestry.. We should be united now more than ever.
