Fall MUSKY Fishing in Ontario!
Fall Musky fishing is officially here in Canada! The musky get bigger and so do my lures! went musky fishing in Southern Ontario this past weekend and caught my second biggest musky ever!
The water temps were 66-68 degrees Fahrenheit and the fish were still moving on bucktails. I caught the big girl on a bucktail and the smaller one on a tube. I was surprised the Musky were still chasing bucktails but I don't think that will be the case for long as October progresses.

Thank you for recognizing the lady anglers as well! Sub gained! 🩷
Check out the Megabass Kanata
I recognize the original mepps inline spinner but what's the other one you were holding up there?
Nice video and channel. Fishing the Islands (C&S) as well in March and late fall. I am on Smokercraft with black Evinrude. If you see me there, come over and say hi. Islands pike is very finicky there, especially the big girls. Take it easy and slow with your retrieve when the water is cold. Cheers.
This fun 😎
Amazing 😎🔥
💪💪
Shitty music
hi great video. In Ontario, do sport fishermen like you generally release pike 100%?
I’d say most do. A lot of sport bass fishermen hate catching pike by accident
@citybassboy99 do bass fishermen release it into the water? on the video it's a catch and release tournament?
@@pierrehenneguez6648 yes

Hey wheres the closest spot to the north to find walleye?
what kind of bait did you use? That’s was awesome ❤
I was using a jerkabait. I linked them in the description and I have a video out on how to use them!
Love your videos bro been binge watching your whole channel lately, I also went pike fishing couple times but caught Nothing with a swim bait or jerk bait. Do you have have recommendations where I could go fishing off shore for pike near Toronto?
Appreciate the love man! Msg me on instagram about the shore spot
My PB ski was Lake St.Clair. 52.5" on a white spinner bait.....I was targeting smallies. Scared the sh*t outta me 😂❤
Fuck that’s awesome. I wish ahahah
dont have to say which lake but what region of lakes?
Nice catch! When you say southern Ontario do you mean down by Toronto or closer to north bay?
Toronto!
Nice!! I couldn’t hear was it pulling drag?
Yeah it was at the beginning and a little in the middle. Always crazy when you’re drag is tight and the musky still pulls it 😳
nice catch brother
Thank you sir 🫡
You know what I'm subbing
there you go I subbed
🫡👏
Nice late season smallie ... they're still bighting on the east side here around Thorah Island
I put my bass stuff away beginning of October for Musky

Thanks brotha 💪
What lake?

Oh my father taught me how to fish like that
Great video man. Let’s get out there and chase these dragons sometime!
Are you in Southern Ontario?
@@citybassboy99 lol yeah man, it’s Tyler @southernontarioangling… we were supposed to hit simcoe like 2 months ago 😆
@@SOA905 ahaha my bad I didn’t know it was you from the username
@@citybassboy99 all good, I didn’t realize it showed up like that until you said it!
I don’t particularly like this advice ngl yes I do agree a bigger rod will help you but It definitely doesn’t mean you can’t catch a Muskie on a bass rod. You can toss a whopper plopper a frog a regular plopper paddle tails smaller stuff and still catch a Muskie granted you will catch pike pickerel and huge ass bass but that in a way will help you because the more fish are feeding in that area the more fish will be attracted to that area because of that to see what is going on.
Just because you CAN do something, doesn’t mean you should. Willingly going out targeting Muskie with underpowered gear is a recipe for disaster. These may be apex predators, but they’re also quite fragile. In warmer water especially, trying to fight one on bass gear will take so much energy out of the fish that it may not recover. A great way to tell if any Esox species is over-stressed is if the fins turn red. As anglers, we need to do our due diligence and make sure we’re adequately equipped to handle the species we’re after.
This video was for ppl looking to get into musky fishing aka buy musky gear, baits, etc. Of course you can catch anything on anything, but that’s. not what I’m talking about here.
Yup
Bass rods and light line works really good, if you know how to fish. I have seen massive musky pulled in on 15lb line and mh bass rod, Small jig and minnow. The only thing you have to do is bring it in slow and steady. It's the same as bringing in 20 lb sheephead on 8lb line on a ned rig. Just go slow and let it run when it wants. Another option is a line counting trolling rod with lead core, you can use it for walleye musky, lake trout, instead of buying a specialty rod that only works for musky.
@@Notname555 it’s usually an accident when you hook/catch musky on light line and bass gear. This video is meant for ppl looking to target Musky specifically. You might win 1 or 2 battles with a knife in a gunfight but you’ll never win the war like that. Gotta come prepared for battle 💪
🔥🔥🔥
💪💪
Awesome info man !! Thanks
I was a bit nervous posting this since I’m so new but you made my night thanks for the support 💪
My pond. There's 5-20 pound large mouths

I was just on pigeon lake fishing up near bobcaygeon few weeks ago. kawathras has monsters🤙🤙
Nice buddy! I’m learning most of my musky fishing in the kawarthas
One's that aren't strong
None of them 😂
Ahahaha
What is your line setup? And what knot do you use?
I use a 6’3 medium rod w/ 20lb braid and palomar knot to my leader or bait. You can get away with lighter line and with a flouro leader for bass but I’ve been using this setup since I use it for pike and bass.
@@citybassboy99 10lb flouro for leader?
Where abouts is this ?
