    wait so its normal to not have accomplisehd anything mean ignful in your early 20s because it feels like your parents are pushing you in directiosn you dont actually wanna be in? and/r feeling obligated to stay at home to resolve family problems that are starting to affect you??

  • @diktatoralexander88

    It is typical of people to neglec something if it doesnt have immediate short term side effects. Like smoking, it doesnt kill you right away. Only in the long term did we start to see it had a increased risk of cancer. Or the plastic in our water. It doesnt affect us in the short term. But over time we start to see it does leave a mark on us that shouldn';t be there

    "why aren't you on board with this" Because its odd that just a few years ago you permanently wanted a operation to disable having kids. Were anti-marriage, and never supported me in my endeavors to do such a thing. Dont loose sight of who you are. Only the finest steels are made with the hottest fires. Or we can make this a fun thing. How much do you wanna bet that your sister ends up in divorce? Or how soon she'll get pregnant after the wedding. I'm gonna guess 6 months and the babies out; yea it's one of *those* kind of marriages.

    Have you considered moving? I’m asking because maybe the market in your area is oversaturated for the jobs you want. If you were to move to another state, there might be less barrier to entry and you would have a higher standard of living.

    Things will get better because you are actively putting in the work. It’s normal to sometimes feel like you’re spinning your wheels when it comes to life, career goals, etc. Everything you’re saying is relevant because it’s stuff that you are experiencing in real life and in your mind, but try not to get too caught up in the day to day. You’re an engineer, so you already understand the concept of reverse engineering. Look at where you want to be in 6 months to a year and work backwards. Only assess your situation once that times has passed. Of course you have to sometimes adjust course but I’m sure you understand my overall point.

    8:00-8:15 I always felt that my brain was looking to make up for lost time after I relapsed following a significant streak. I try to remind myself that the flesh is never satisfied. Therefore, I must focus my energy on being productive. By that I mean making goal lists and to do lists to keep myself on track daily. Some people believe that filling all of the gaps in their schedule with activities is enough to keep them away from pmo. After my first streak several years ago, I realized that approach doesn't work for me because I feel like I'm punishing myself with things I don't enjoy doing just to avoid something that's honestly pleasurable in the moment (but not in the long term). You already know what you need to do as you have already done several streaks over the years.

    For some reason, I didn't receive notification that you posted this video. Anyway, the reason that I have watched your channel for the past 5 years is that you post your content in a raw and relatable way. You don't act like you're an expert and that your viewers should he honored to be in your presence. People who act like that are only lying to themselves and adding to the misinformation out there. It's ok to acknowledge the setbacks but you also must celebrate your victories. You made it over a year without a relapse. That alone puts you in the top 1% of people in this lifestyle. A lot of people lie about their day count, so you should feel accomplished. You're also doing well financially. I believe you paid your car off awhile back and most of your student loans. Finally, you're in a position to advance in your company and make even more money. Sure you haven't had sex yet, but you're not missing out on much. Keep focusing on yourself for the time being and you will attract who and what you need into your life.

    Things were a slow buildup for you, getting your degree so relatively late but it's better to be a late bloomer than someone who peaked in highschool. We're catching up in age now, but the higher the ladder we climb to get here the better the reward.

    Being at $0 is great, because that means you have a clean slate. Some people never achieve that in their lifetime. I’m saying this to myself as much as I’m saying this to you, but don’t be afraid to live life on your own terms. It’s already hard enough to make yourself happy, and it’s that much more impossible to please others. It’s also easy to reflect on our lives and as “what if?”. It’s true that different decisions could have many of us in a better place in present time, but I challenge you to accept your reality and own the decisions that you have made. Ask yourself what you can do today to improve your life because that is truly all you have.

    • @diktatoralexander88
      @diktatoralexander88 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      To add on this, the asking of the What ifs? of decisions he could've made and the possible negative consequences of such implies deep down you wish you would've done so, but justify not doing by wondering if it would've ended up bad. Life is full of decisions that we didn't make, that would've made us in a better position than we are now. But a constant we'll always have is feeling the present is never optiminal. We gotta accept that sometimes we have things better than we reazlie, and categorize our problems. like emotional, mental, physical, financial, etc. and weigh all these. Find the balance that enables the most contentment.

  • @atharris8

  • @atharris8

    You got to keep from unfocused action. Slip ups can lead to big failures OR it can be a wake up call to focus on success. Your Nofap streak is going good even when p-subs try to sabatoge your effort. KEEP WINNING.

    Back in the old days, it wasn't unheard of for someone to not even know what msaturbation was but they still did it. I read one text from 1900 about a church going woman first heard what masturbation actually was, and she freaked out because she said she's been doing that for years. In the same text, it described a pastor who as far as we know, was litereally 'innocent' so to speak in that when asked if he's ever self ejaculated, said "yea one time i got a random boner when talking to some lovely people but that went away after a bit" so he probably never did fap in his life. I'd imagine among the monk/religious types who would've been more in the know, it would've been without question it was a indecent habit and celibacy was basically nofap before nofap. But among the average person, it wouldn't have been so well known and there was probably alot of people who did it and didn't hold any opinion of it, other than questioning if it was a good idea or not (but they wouldn't have known how to describe it)

  • @darkmagician1710
    @darkmagician1710 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    First off, I salute you for having high standards for yourself. I don’t agree that you should beat yourself up over slip ups, but I can’t tell you how to feel about it at the end of the day. I do understand that to be great, we must hold ourselves to a higher standard. Do what makes sense to you. If you want to continue your count as normal do that. If you think that you need to start over, then do that. It’s your journey at the end of the day.
