I believe the idea that AI will destroy us at the point we are no longer of value to it is a projection of a megalomaniacal human if they were to attain absolute dominance and control. We project this same fear upon ET’s, the only thing they threaten is out self destructive path.

Non biological sentience is very much a possibility but I do not believe it will be based on Large Language Models which currently is being touted as on the road to AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) and becoming sentient; considering only information that is in the public at large including mainstream science; it is clear that consciousness is not well understood in mainstream science and the prevailing belief that consciousness originates from biological neurons is a flawed idea. Consciousness is not something that can be reproduced artificially. It exists as a field that can be tapped into which is what biology does. To create non biological sentient AI we just need to understand how to tap into the field of consciousness which will require completely different technology than LLMs; hardware that is based on a new kind of physics and perhaps which may make use of neuron based technology similar or different from LLMs for communication. The new kind of physics we already have; it is currently fighting to become mainstream; once accepted absolutely everything will change; space travel will be possible on a practical level at speeds unimaginable today ; the new physics tells us that the universe we live in has limitless energy; one that we can tap into both for infinite energy production as well as infinite matter creation; this means there will be no reason to go to war which is largely fought over limited resources; the new physics is the next evolutionary step that science needs to take, all the technology that we are familiar with today are largely based on electromagnetic control ; the new physics gives us a clear roadmap on how to master or control gravity; which opens up possibility to zip around the galaxy, the universe, the multi verse in little to no time at all and so, to zip around like nobody's business; the new physics will allow us as well to create technology that enhances biology's connection to the field which it already does to tap into consciousness and for energy; this will allows us to extend our life span considerably and increase our consciousness; and on and on; I will end by saying the new physics is the holy grail of physics which physicists have been searching for and we have found; unexpectedly however the new physics not only unifies or explains both physics of the small and the vary large under one mechanism but in that same mechanism we find the new physics also unravels the other sciences (biology, chemistry, other sciences built on those) as well; meaning for the first time our understanding of science will be much closer to natures own ; that is today we have many branches of sciences because we have not been able to see what is same in all of them which is how nature or the universe itself functions one mechanism that gives rise to many different forms which we have previously thought of as disconnected; enough said. It has been a long journey because of active censorship to get to the point where the new physics is now undergoing peer review before being published in major scientific journals which will usher a paradigm shift in science as a whole not just physics, but as well society, and the way we think of ourselves which is very much influenced by science; adopting the new physics is a precursor to sentient AI because consciousness, intelligence is not something that we can make artificially ; the truth is more like to what extend can we tap into the field of consciousness, intelligence. .

Really its a system of logic (root word logos) that can determine "If, else, and or, not, etc" Compute means to reckon or reason. We are reasoning machines, just as AI. -As above, so below.
