Whenever two guitarists play Sultans of Swing, the Alpha has to play the second solo! It's the unwritten rule. The rhythm section here was rock solid, too, and helped carry the song.

Brilliant band! So many groups just play the songs, focusing on getting the sound just so, or playing the solo just right, while rooted to the spot and not considering the audience experience. There's a lot of energy in this band's performance, and the bass player never stops smiling!

This is easily one of the best bands I've seen in the Ark Tavern videos. Quality lead singer and backing vocals, excellent musicianship and song arrangements, and you can see that the audience is engaged.

Fantastic singer! The younger guitarist has excellent technique and feel too, and he knows not to overplay or take attention away from the frontman - real potential there. Is this a 'proper' band, or just some guys who got up to play?

This is a bit different from the usual rock bands I see in the Ark videos. I think I've played most of the songs in Slim Jim Tie's setlist (including this one)!

I'm really enjoying these videos from The Ark Tavern. You have some really good bands (Top Gun, and Non Compos Mentis are excellent). I can hear keyboards in this band, but can't see a keyboard player. Are they out of shot, or is it a backing track, or is the guitarist using an effect? I hope it's not a backing track!

This is a good band. Tidy version of Whisky in the jar. Great guitar solo too.

Great version of Spirit in the sky, with a Motorhead feel to it (did they ever record it?). I enjoyed the guitar solo, but to be honest, I clicked on this one because the dancing lady was in the thumbnail!
