This was a decision that was hard to make since I wouldn’t have a trainer going with me.. now I know what you thinking and yes it could have been a bad idea if I didn’t know my horse but if I’m honest it was the best decision I had made in my horse riding journey.. Bentley had a nice week off after this and we just now got back into work the day this is posted.. we still have lots of work to d...

Stay
it can just be the spring grass getting in his head or high energy feed. im horse does this when she gets lush spring grass or high energy hard feed .
Do a 2 Point so your not bouncing as much or lean back and feel the rhythm of the gallop and sit it
@@Mckenzie_Drury I was trying to do a 2 point but I didn’t understand how yet at the time but if you look at my most recent videos you can see I do way better at the gallop now
Love the intro❤
I feel like this video got an unnecessary amount of criticism and hate 😭 I think that you and your horse did the best you both could do while also trying to have fun. Everyone slips up or has bad days. It happens 🤷♀️
@@Horses_R_Us I agree 😭 but I keep telling everyone look at my newer videos because I gallop way better now 🤣
The part can’t hear trainer is so true 😭😭
You hands are up WAY to high, I understand your riding western, but don’t you go sayin “oh western riding hands are higher”, they are not, that horse is in pain, please ask someone about your position also. PLEASE ALSO USE YOUR LEGS!!!! THEN HE WILL LISTEN!!!!!!!
@@Fireflylovey maybe look at my more recent videos to get a better perspective on how much better I am and I will not go saying that “oh western riding hand are higher” cause I am not that person everyone learns differently and I did used leg but at the time he was SUPER sensitive and I barely used much to get him to go and second off I only kept kissing cause I was more concerned about my position then getting him into a gallop
@@A_HorseGirl_In_the_world if you make your move a few things higher, then you’ll have a better position because you will be able to hold yourself up, that’s one of the reasons why you fell, and try posting, much better for horses back and for balance, once you do that you will have a better chance of sitting when you learn how to balance.
@@Fireflylovey please look at my more recent videos I know how to post the trot AND I am able to do it at the canter (which is very uncommon but useful)
This was fun. I definitely do better western than eastern. I’m riding in a stable that only wants everyone eastern and I get into a little panic before the canter. It’s like I’m good then forget how to do everything and pray I don’t fall. You did great, falling is scary and I love how much you definitely love the horse your with ❤ Don’t kill me is so relatable
I just learned this btw. To stroke and not pat it has something to do with horses being prey animals and not understanding what smack taps are but they do caress each other so it’s a bonding experience. Or I guess, remember every western where someone smacks a horse in the ass and says giddeeup to make it run away 😂😂😂 You are not doing anything wrong. I’m just sharing a thing I just learned about my horse. lol
@@kelleywyskiel3478 I definitely knew about this but he has picked up that it means he’s done good and he even slows down to a walk when I do cause it’s just like when I say “good boy”
I don't understand why you keep making kissing sounds when he's already moving out then he moves out a little faster with the kissing sounds and you tell him easy or whoa. A little confusing!
I so agree
@@lisaupdawrally2732 so he has trouble staying in his canter no matter how much leg I use and he finds it easier to just gallop (it’s a muscle problem we are working on) and I have gotten to a point where I can feel where he’s gonna switch to a gallop and that’s why I say easy
@@Macki-cg4pr look at my reply!
Agreed
@@A_HorseGirl_In_the_worldinstead of constantly kissing at him just try to add leg and kiss when you feel he’s going to break down into a trot and it seems like he’s been taught that woah means halt instead of slow down
I’m not trying to be mean but when your trainer said no to your sister cantering a circle it killed me lmfao! You’re really good tho!
@@sammmmmmmm2 it was because it was like her 4th lesson 🤣
@@A_HorseGirl_In_the_world she cantered in her fourth lesson wow
@@A_HorseGirl_In_the_world lol
@@sammmmmmmm2 I think she only did it for fun but not after that
@@A_HorseGirl_In_the_world oh okk! Cool! Have a wonderful day and your a very good rider
I have a few video recommendations: 1. Day in the life at the barn 2. GoPro trail ride 3. My tricks w Bentley And yeh ❤❤❤ your eq I need it ❤
I will definitely try! I’m about to get my license so I can definitely have more time and make a day in the life 🥳
I enjoy watching your videos. The thumbnails are funny and amazing, your editing is even better. The horse camp looked a little chaos, but oh well 😂❤. I fell off a horse and got a concussion after she bolted in a arena. She threw me off the week before also. I am not allowed to ride for a month. 😢 But, I love your videos. I am going to make you a intro, if it’s ok w you!?❤😊
Thank you! I’m so happy you enjoy my videos <3 I hope you get back to riding and have no fear whatsoever ❤️

@@A_HorseGirl_In_the_world maybe I should get one of them GoPros!
@@Hungergameseditz88 you definitely should! I currently use a head band and not my chest piece since it more safer for the GoPro if you fall it it gives a better view/pov
That saying ….too far up the neck - you will land up on the deck…. Im glad u are ok …and well done
Hes going on the ‘bit’ thats a good thing
Omg I hope you are ok! You handled it really well. I was so scared when I first cantered, let alone galloped lol. Love the squeaky saddle noises too 😂❤
I dont understand why yall have a problem with the saddle?some western saddle make cracky sounds yall know-😱
@@TherianthropyIsSlay it just doesn’t fit him properly
@@A_HorseGirl_In_the_world thats fine u can change but the hate is js so non sense
You need longer rains and to untwist them. The incident with the mail man is 100 PERCENT YOUR FAULT! YOU ARE THE RIDER AND TOOK A HORSE OUT BEFORE IT WAS WELL TRAINED. It is clear that this horse is still green broke and does not want you to ride him. He also, is throwing his head back because his back hurts and the saddle isn't on right. Nor does I actually fit him properly. You are ab*sive and hitting him with the whip isn't ok. He isn't in your space at all. People like you are a disgrace to the horse community! By the way, that horse either has pain in his legs too or is lame.
Am I the only one who thought the horse poop pile was a snake?
Ok so at 5:46 it looked like you where bounding so maybe he thought to canter because to canter you need to sit it (at least for English rider idk I’m not wester sorry) but maybe I’m wrong but idk
@@ElliottCola24 it western you can sit the gallop it was also his first time galloping with a rider so I think he was confused on what I was asking
“Dont kill me”… casually kills you.😭✋
Something this horse doesnt like. 🤔 Is he in pain? Injured? Too much weight on him perhaps, and youre banging onto the saddle. Poor guy😮 He even jerks away from your mom! You keep falling, because you have no balance, and cant ride a horse. ?? 🤔
Or maybe it’s because everyone has to learn at one point and no I was not to big for him and yes he has some back pain but not from me just because he has a little bit of sway back but I wouldn’t ride him if I knew it would be bad for him in the long run and maybe this video is older?
they didnt even slow down
Frrr
SHE IS THE IDIOT WHO TOOK A GREEN BROKE HORSE OUT AND PUT IT IN DANGER. HECK, DHE HAD TO WALK THE HORSE DOWN BECAUSE IT DIDN'T WANT HER TO RIDE ON HIS BACK WHICH IS CLEARLY HURTING HIM. SHE IS AT FAULT NOT THE DRIVER!
people drive like maniacs around horses theres no excuse get license plate go to sheriff and report he hit you horse show them video, glad you both are ok
It’s was the mailman but we did report them and show them the video I don’t know what the owner is gonna do but there are only farms on that road so they definitely knew they should have slowed down and stayed on their side of the road for a longer time when passing
🤔Why even ride him on the street; if you cant control him well enough? 😮 Not fun for the horse.
@@HeidisHereAndThere I can control him it was more for a change of scenery since that helps him sometimes
OMG. I need something to clean my eyes out with. And that damn bird curping is insane. She doesn’t look good😂😂🤮
The car was going slow and was all the way on the other side of the road, this was the riders fault for not moving off to a safe distance for her horse and herself knowing he was unsure of the passing vehicle, Owner at fault completely
Actually I disagree the car move back into the road right as they were passing me and my horse is broke to cars I was just being cautious and the car was going well over the speed limit on that road
to the people telling her what to do and giving her advice/criticism, in the most respectful way: please shush. you do not know this horse, nor were you in this situation. she knows her horse, and she clearly trusts him. i’m glad you and bentley are okay though! ❤
Thank you 🫶
At least with him being the mailman you can report him to his station. His supervisor wouldn't like that behavior either and he would be reprimanded
Oh we definitely have reported him
I love your videos so much🫶🏻 I have a question tho. Do u like the country singer Zach Bryan??
Yes I do he’s the only one I listen too 🤣
he is in a good gallop so why keep on making the smooch sound? You ask him yourself to go faster
I kept him at the pace I wanted without using leg so I could learn easier
hearing you breathing, looks like you are not the leader of your horse but scared yourself
No it’s because I often help the owner before I ride so I’m out of breath and just small other things but if I was nervous or anything I most likely would not be riding him
I’m glad Bently is ok!🫶🏻 That would’ve been a scary time to experience!
It definitely was 😅
RAHHH STUPID PEOPLEEE U HANDLED IT SO WELL

Hi! I can’t see exactly in the video but from what it looks like he didn’t get hit. I might be wrong though but from the video it looked like a close call! I’m glad you guys are both ok!!❤😊
He did get his back right leg on the car for a second it’s hard to tell but trust me I looked at it multiple times before :)
@@A_HorseGirl_In_the_world I’m o thank you! Sorry for my misunderstanding!
@@Apollo-Mia it’s ok! It is hard to tell from the angle 🤣
For everyone one here to type paragraphs of tips or advice please know there are things you don’t see about Bentley in videos or that I tell you guys about for the sake being called “a bad rider” even though it’s because I don’t need tips I know what I’m doing it just sometimes doesn’t look like it! The only reason I get off when he’s bucking is because most likely my parents are NOT there with me and I personally don’t want to get injured while they are gone!
Not sure if Bentley is barn sour, buddy sour or both. When you ride out with another horse and that horse gets ahead or behind, does he whinny? Get anxious? That's more buddy sour, classic sign of an insecure horse and one who doesn't trust the human to be the leader/protector. Herd dynamics, safety in numbers. You can do the leapfrog strategy out with another horse and it will help. Key is to catch up or return to other horse just before the anxious point. Gradually increase the distance between horses over many rides. Barn sour work him next to the barn. Do same strategy of gradually riding him by increasing distance from barn, but stop and work in area or ride back to barn before anxiety kicks in. Another thing is when returning from a ride, don't immediately saddle and turn him out. Let him stand tied up with saddle on and maybe even get back on for 10-15 minutes once or twice and do some work at barn. That helps with the horse not thinking barn is a rest/free time place always. I'd do lots more groundwork with him, not all lunging. Do get out of space, back when asked, yield shoulders and hip when asked. You're going to find holes for sure! This kind of groundwork helps to establish you as the leader and actually helps relieve the horse. Some of them make you work for it though and I suspect Bentley will lol.
Bentley is pretty much neither he is the herd leader and just does not want to miss out on anything
Oh no! Can we see that raw?
I have the whole run on my TH-cam under the video “Interesting Second Show” if you would like to watch that 🤣
@@A_HorseGirl_In_the_world okay thank u lol
@@Dixietheeventer anytime let me know if you have any questions!
The fact that everyone is just giving you tips and advice on a situation they weren’t in. 💀 they don’t even care about the horse! Don’t listen to them, they all think they know best. Glad your horse is okay, that’s a scary experience. ❤
Thank you it does get on my nerves a bit when everyone acts like I don’t know my horse or what I’m doing 🤦♀️ there are definitely things about him that I don’t share on here or that don’t get in videos he is not barn sour or buddy sour he’s just being Bentley the Bentley I know.. I do cut certain things out of the video for the fact of being told that I’m a horrible rider (like training methods since that’s a hot topic now) but I wouldn’t do anything I knew would hurt him
@@A_HorseGirl_In_the_world ikr everyone thinks we’re out to harm our horses. I’m sorry you have to go through that, I feel ya girl lol.

when he walks off when you mount him just back him up a long way....horses hate backing up in straight lines.
He knew what I meant when backing up since he doesn’t do it often
In the Gallup you had no balance and you may want to get a bigger horse just saying
This is a old video please look at my most recent video to see improvement and I do fit the 20% rule just saying
