I believe this is a Winterhalder and Hofmeier bracket clock. They’ve been using the “Modern Whittington” chime long before Urgos and Kieninger movements utilized it in the mid 20th century in German-made clocks and in American manufactured clocks like Howard Miller, Ridgeway, and Sligh.
I have one of these only with a longer bottom and a window in then front it has the wooden plate movement and iron hands with painted wooden dial and a lot of brass inlay with as well these little hand carved pieces like scrollwork on each side of the bottom part just above the front pendulum glass. Can't seem to find much information about it.
Utterly fabulous. Yes, I know Stephen (SrWilson3s) and he should know. Never seen this configuration. Almost sounds like an 8 or 9 tubular bell longcase.
Nice: I love the idea of centre seconds and appreciate why it has to be heavily counterpoised. I love the idea of the date hand: NOT an aperture, etc, but from the hands arbor. The case is nice too, but dislike the Arabic numerals.
An idea would have been to show time at start of vid, then at end, to show clock works. And a longer vid to show it at end of run being raised to top again and then holding mic to let us hear it tick.
Darn. I want it but my musical cuckoo clock(the one you sold to me on Ebay) sadly broke down multiple times and I will have to waste over £400 to fix it :(
It sounds beautiful, and also sounds funny that it chimes really fast, lol.
nice clock
heck yes
gorgeous!
it doesn't hurt it to move the hands like that?

So does Whittington go down and St. Michael’s goes up?
My favorite movement thanks!
That is some hour gong right there.
Nice, deep chime.
Unique clock with a unique movement.
Might be an Engstler cuckoo... certainly looks like something that would come out of Engstler's factory anyway.
The 5 gongs sound like Big Ben.
I like this chime pitch!
