This video shows how to work the Country Church pattern. I forgot to mention in the video that the Xs on the chart are Double Crochets and the empty squares are Single Crochet stitches. Pattern uses US terminology. I apologise for drifting off cam...

มุมมอง 2Kปีที่แล้ว
Several combinations of Angle/Diagonal Stitches used in Overlay Mosaic Crochet are demonstrated in this video. Some angle stitches are combined with other stitches. These stitches are in my pattern Twilight Houses but will also be in a number of other patterns. I apologise for wandering off the screen at times. I still have a lot to learn about making videos! Twilight Houses can be seen here: w...

มุมมอง 3.4Kปีที่แล้ว
Mosaic Crochet using more than 2 colours. This video shows how to add another colour mid row, instead of carrying yarn across the row. This method is especially good for adding small highlights to your work. It is known as intarsia crochet. The pattern in the video is Merry Mosaic Christmas. Mosaic Crochet Envelope Border Join
มุมมอง 6K2 ปีที่แล้ว
A short video to show how to work a corner join with double crochet stitches in mosaic overlay crochet (US terminology). I've used this join in the border of my Lavender and Lace Pattern. I apologise for a mistake around 10.41 mins when I say slip stitch but should have said stitch marker. The Lavender and Lace pattern has now been released. You can find it here: ravel.me/lavender-and-lace-3 lo...

Super helpful tutorial! Thank you, that's exactly what I needed.
Thank you so much!
You did a great job….i love mosaic crochet but patterns can sometimes confuse me. I am going to to buy this pattern and watch this video about 10 more times!
Thank you. I hope you enjoy making it.
It would be nice if the finished product was shown before, the pattern was shown; It's so much easier to grasp to what is being crocheted.
Thank you for your video! This may be a silly question, but how do you know, if you change colors the stitch before if it’ll be covered..? Do you looks at the row that’s coming up to see if there are doubles to cover it. I’m fairly new… please help! Thank you!
Sorry it's taken so long to reply but I just saw your comment. In most cases there will be a DC in the next row to cover that first stitch. It's best to check the chart though to see if this will happen. Alternatively, it's not necessary to do that stitch before if you are happy with the way it is. Most people probably don't do the stitch before, I'm just fussy and like clean lines. Maybe it's the way I crochet that shows the other colour peeping through!

I'm sorry for the late reply. I've only just seen your comment. Yes, until you are more comfortable with doing mosaic crochet, it's best to check the stitch on the next row but this is only practicable if you are working from the chart.
Thank you so much! I keep coming back to this video whenever I'm doing mosaic in the round(I dont do it often enough. Work more in the flat)
O que essa senhora está ensinando? Não estou entendendo nada,,,misericórdia,,,e péssima
Hi! I know this is an older video, but how do you do this the first time on the color change? In this instance the color has already been changed over.
The first colour change is worked the same way. It's helpful to put a stitch marker in the first stitch of every round.
Carol Anne is Australian... hence the accent!
Thank you so much for teaching us that, i hate all those little stitches poking out at the bottom when changing yarn in the round 🎉
You're welcome. Thanks for your nice comment.
Un nouveau point pour moi merci beaucoup❤

Mooie uitleg, maar werk is vaak buiten beeld. Misschien een X op je ondergrond zetten zodat je ziet wat je in het beeld hebt 😊

Not difficult at all to understand & I can see very clearly what you are doing!
I've been learning Mosaic crochet this year, and it only just occurred to me that there must be a way to make curves. This is such a game-changer for my homemade patterns!! Thanks for the tip about using DC2T to make fuller stitches, it's such a useful trick and so clever!!
Thank you for your lovely comment. I'm glad the video is helpful.
CLOSE UP CAMERA PLEASE..
We can't see what is happening... the wool is too dark the CAMERA is too far from yr work... no close-up also yr fingers cover up the area visually it's difficult to understand the pattern the pattern is very busy. the paper pattern cannot be seen the lighting is too dark maybe needs a spotlight Its a shame because the this work is unique..
I can’t thank you so very much for this cal ! Your work is amazing and I am so happy to crochet with you! I will be watching this whole video at least 3 times at least before I dive in! How did you learn about mosaic?
Thank you! A lot of designers contributed to this CAL. If you are a member of Ravelry, I've just put a link in the description with takes you to all the parts of the CAL. Part 1 gives lots more detail about the CAL. Here it is: ravel.me/9gu2zt I learned mosaic from making a couple of blankets following the designer's instructions and videos. There are many TH-cam videos to teach you mosaic crochet. I hope you have fun with it!
PS You were nice company while I crocheted.
haha thanks!
Hey this is like an audio book for the chart. And a true crochet along since I just listened to what you said and crocheted right along with you. This is definitely easier than my having to find a place to set the chart and keep track of where I am. Thank you. I will be watching it a second time around as my tension is too loose and I will make it in lavender and purple as a wall hanging for my sister. I am really enjoying this video along.
Thank you. I'm glad you like it.
I can’t thank you so much for this video, you did wonder off the camera.a bit 😊I love mosaic crochet…I would love to see a toot of your wall hanging even if it took 5 different toot! I am a visual learner…and your work is stunning❤
Thank you so much! You can see a pic of the finished wall hanging by clicking on the link. It's a challenge for me to stay in the frame and not wander off. It's all a learning process. 😂
Can’t love this enough! So so helpful, bought the pattern soon after watching your video! Thanks Ms Carol!
Aww thank you so much! Have fun making it.
Comprei alguns padrões seus. Obrigada pelo vídeo. ❤🇧🇷🇧🇷
Thank you so much!
Como inicias el tejido??? Saludos y muchas gracias..
It is mosaic crochet not weaving. I'm not sure in your question translated properly.
I can't find the chart for this pattern, can you please help me please
You can find the pattern here: ravel.me/mosaic-christmas-cal-part-8---country-church

When I look at the video it is very clear. There are no words above it. I have to use google translate to see what you wrote so it might not have been correct.
