2024 Volkswagen Polo GTI: In a Class of it's own!
The discontinuation of the Polo GTI's closest rivals; the Ford Fiesta ST and the Renault Clio RS - means the compact performance hatch is in a class of it own without any competition.
While it is unjust to compare it to it's older sibling, for consumers like yourself and I whose budget cannot stretch to the R800k mark, at R549k the Polo GTI is the best alternative.

This car is badged as VW Virtus in India and is manufactured/assembled here in the country which is why this is rebadged as Polo sedan and imported from India. However, the engine configuration is different here in India. 1.0L and 1.5L turbo charged petrol engines with 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG.
Interesting, clearly there’s still market for such cars that side hence the variety in specs and combination. Nice🫱🏽🫲🏼
The price for the insurance is the most expensive insurance I’ve ever seen on a sedan. We own the same vehicle and our insurance is R850 per month with King Price.
