Yes! when you live with the World's Happiest Pomeranians, you have no choice but to laugh out loud 24/7! Border collies are very intelligent:) ... I used to train all the neighborhood dogs when I was a child; which was a fun way to earn money during the summer months.

A friend of mine has poms and they are not only highly intelligent but also highly amusing! I'm absolutely certain that dogs have a sense of humour. I think they're better than humans in so many ways. Zig, a girl dog (I don't like the 'B' word), died of old age a couple of years ago. She was 14. Two days after she passed away Spike did something he'd never done before - he sat on the end of my bed, looked up, and did a long wailing wolf-like howl. He died a few weeks later - of a broken heart, I'm sure. I have tears in my eyes while writing this. I'll get a dog or two sometime soon but I'm not quite ready yet. You're lovely Poms videos have filled me with joy and inspiration. Thank you for that, Dana. 😀

That's so sad about Zig and Spike, but they do get very attached to their pack and their humans. It reminds me of a saying that "Everytime you look at a puppy, you're looking at future heartbreak." I can't even tell you how much I invested in our 11 year old Maltese in an attempt to save her from inflammatory carcinoma (didn't know prior to surgery that was her diagnosis). Unfortunately, it is swiftly fatal according to the medical community, however, I have her on a holistic diet and her energy is good, for the time being, and I keep praying for a miracle.

Oh, bless her - and bless you too! I'm so sorry! You must be devastated. Their lives become so closely interwoven with our own and it's just so heartbreaking. I guess you have to try to be upbeat and positive; tell her everyday how much you love her and make every single day the best one ever - but it must be so difficult. It seems so unfair, doesn't it? I'm sure you're doing all you can for her and I truly hope it all works out, Dana. Let's pray for a happy little miracle.
