Getting to play Fortnite back in 2017/2019 with the boys has to be a universally loved experience. There was no proper responsibility to take up our time, we always checked leaks and the new battle passes on the school computers, and it being the massive game it was, you were never stuck for a duo or ful squad. Pretty much no-one in my friend group plays it regularly anymore and I think it was the pandemic that did it. Ch2 S1 dragging on as long as it did and being in lockdown made it the perfect time to get into timesink games like GTAO but hot damn was OG Fortnite a fond memory

It’s not that there won’t ever be another game that’s as good or as captivating. It’s only that we won’t be that age ever again and it just came at the right time to give all of us that legendary and nostalgic experience. While this generation won’t experience this again, the next generation absolutely will.

I was 9 when I started playing in August 2017. I had grown up with a dad, uncle, and 5 older cousins who played the games of the 90s, 00s, and early 10s, so I definitely played different games than most but the hype around 2017 (and 2018) fortnite was crazy. EVERYONE was playing it, I started playing with my older and younger cousins and is was honestly perfect. I don't think there will ever be another experience in my life like that.

I made so many memories with this game dude and the way the map changed overtime once in a lifetime type of thing fr ill never not miss chapter 1 fortnite.

I remember playing fortnight at season 4 as I had no pc and thats when it released on consoles and I remember landing in that meteorite spot i forgot its name, I remember being hella excited to go back home to play with my friends, oh man I could spend 6 hours straight playing a game back then, now I barely stay an hour or so before am bored

Rumbleverse could've been. The game was so nice, same fun with friends as peak Fortnite 2018 but 0 marketing and Epic basically let it die as they got Nobuild mode

I think the only game that came close to being Fortnite levels of potential was valorant but the game became to repetitive to quick. But it was huge for a good year. Fortnite still stands as the biggest pvp ever and I don’t think it can be beaten

I remember hating the game at first because my friend group would just go to a friends bedroom and play it for hours. I was terrible at it (especially on controller) and playing outside was way better. Then around the pandemic my online friend group started playing non stop and I ended up liking it, the no build helped. Still miss mega city, it and the jungle were the best fortnite ever had.

I remember the very first time I played fortnite in 2017, it was right when the Battle Royale mode came out but I always thought that game sucked and I wasn't interested. But I had a friend who was playing the game a lot so I decided to download Fortnite and play one round with him... We landed on Loot Lake I remember, but I also remember it was way to hard for me to play so after 1 round I deleted the game lol... But at the beginning of season 3 I downloaded the game again and since then I have played a lot, I just never followed up with all the building getting more professional Anyways, I really miss the beginning of chapter 1, it was a truly unique feeling, especially all the live events (and the meteorites falling from the sky at the end of season 3!!!) I was so hyped for chapter 4, I didn't sleep all night... Good memories
