Ok, some additions if I may say so. First it is not inner guidance but guidance from above, any higher force than human. Without ego.. Second, it is said never to speak about your spiritual experiences. You can speak about it if you help someone else, again without ego. Third, if you have a mentor/guru on your side, whom you fully trust, you can and should share your difficulties, to overcome them. A good teacher/guru will honestly help you on your way. What the problem is in our societies is that there is a dogma on how you should experience spirituality. Many people don't know what it really means to be spiritual 😉
