A casual cruise into a small town called Labi in Brunei. Towards the end on the return trip met two reckless drivers which almost caused my accident. You can fast forward the speed and play your own background music. :)

Would like to know, how often you use your MT09, what are the things you dont like about it, what are the complaints you have since you own the bike, I m planning to get end of april the 2017 model. Do you know how many MT09 are in Brrunei. Thanks

Julia Sanchez one thing which gets on me is how fast it chews tyres. 20k km and I'm on my 4th set of rear tyres. been using sport touring tyres , so I can't imagine if I'm using super sports. overall it's a good bike, fuel tank is a bit small, getting 200-250km/full tank. and original seats are quite hard so be prepared if you're going long distance with it. but if you're not used to powerful bikes, I'd suggest you get the MT07. it's friendlier and as much fun as the MT09.

I seen lots of reports on MT09 and it sounds scary, it tends to wheelie, even on standard mode. I m new just got my 1B in Feb and my 1st bike is FZN150i Yam. I only used the bike for weekend and on good weather use to commute to my office. I think i will get the MT07 with ABS.

THESE ARE ADVICE FROM A FRIEND ABOUT MT09.: I've ridden about 400,000 miles on motorcycles just to give an idea on my experience. The main reason this isn't a starter motorcycle for those new and considering it is the power it delivers. As a new rider, you could probably get away with getting this bike if you kept it on B mode for your first 10k miles. In my opinion, B mode, behaves much like a regular motorcycle and is much more forgiving than the other modes. If you try and learn on the the std or A modes, it isn't forgiving and if you make a small mistake and grip the throttle on a bump or aren't familiar with throttle control, you can EASILY give it too much power on accident. When you give a motorcycle like this too much power, you grip the handlebars hard to hold on, which then turns the throttle on more putting more power into it and making the problem much worse. If you've rode a cruiser bike or even a racer, you won't understand just how fast it puts power to the wheel when you turn the throttle. An experienced rider on any bike will recognize the mistake he's making when this happens, a novice won't until it's too late. If you've ever seen a video of a new rider who gives it a little gas and the bike takes off, then the grip it tighter and it floors the power and they hit a car or tree, etc...that's the danger a novice can get into with this bike and not just from a stopped position but around turns too. Hope this explanation helps a little.

Julia Sanchez since you're coming from 1B, I don't think you'll be able to legally register the MT07/09 under your name. and it's risky business to ride a bike that's beyond your license class. it's best for you to hold up on your purchase and get your license sorted first before buying a powerful bike. but once you do get your license sorted out, i still wouldn't recommend the MT09 to you as you won't be spending enough time on it to have the feel of the bike locked into your reaction. B mode is toned down but bare in mind, it's still a powerful bike and for me, B mode is still way more powerful than what you're used to on a <400cc bike. I know the bike is cheap and tempting, but it would be pointless if your skills and experience isn't up to the bikes performance. hope it helps you in making a more reasonable purchase. ride safe my friend (:
