@@hanskrishnan As long as you have enough "Soda lime" which contains sodium hydroxide and calcium oxide and other chemicals it basically can filter your CO2 without limitations. Ofc you need to change the soda lime from time to time as it saturates and loses its ability to filter CO2 but I guess I would give it a try in these circumstances. Get a huge enough supply and move freely in ELEVATION :D

That's a good theory considering they all popped up out of the ground. But surely who ever is controlling them is coming from outer space, so surely using satellite technology which won't bother with the signals from ground up in my opinion. What do you say?

Oh it's very simple, the creatures are robots, they are programmed not to go above that altitude, one reason could be that there is a possibility they might malfunction at such altitude and low temperature. Another could be as the creators of these repears don't want to destroy humans 100%, so they wiped out majority population of humans which reduced pollution and let other species and animals have their natural habitats back and also let few humans who can actually survive above 8000ft survive there without intruding much to the lower areas. This will maintain the balance. These are few reasons I could think of. But I guess everyone already thought about it.
