There are so many great place: Obertauern, Pitztaler , Oberguergl, Kaunertal etc .
I have visited all of the featured areas multiple times, all are great indeed. My personal top 5: 1: Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn Zell am See (the connected area has become immense over the years) 2: St. Anton Lech Zürs (likewise a vast connected area) 3: Sölden 4: Ischgl 5: Kitzbühel Kirchberg (+connected skiwelt Wilder Kaiser makes it a crazy large area to explore)
Good choice!
St. Anton, Lech and Zürs are villages in the same resort. It should be counted as one, so you could have added Ischgl.

Good video, but prices are insane man Ischgl 70€ day just for ski pass from 9 to 4h one adult, not included hotel accommodation, food,anything else...You need to have salary 5000€ net per month....Beautiful ski resorts but crazy expensive...
Sure, you are right. Skiing is more and more expensive.
Did my first season in St Anton, learnt how to ski so was OK for beginners, don't let this video put you off saying it isn't, mind you I did learn the hard way and just went for it, especially after over 2 meters of snow in December and 4.5 meters for the season, best in over 20 years!!! Then worked Solden which I learnt how to snowboard and enjoyed the off piste more than St Anton/Lech etc plus it has a more down to earth vibe, not full of stuck up idiots! I'm from a council estate not a country manor! Last seasons I did was Mayrhofen and fell in love the with place. It has everything for everyone, not stuck up at all and the people are just so fookin cool. Best for me in my opinion. Some vids on my channel if ya can be bothered to look, nowt flash, just a scruffy council estate lad living the dream, workin hard and playin harder! Good times had and friends made for life!

Looks like an accurate guide. I've skiied at Lech, Zurs and St Anton , with Lech the favourite of this 'competent intermediate'. There's much to like about Austria as a skiing destination but I'm particularly impressed by the reasonable prices at the restaurants and bars on the slopes.

Your video is very good. However, your pronunciation of sever words, especially city/village names is embarrassingly bad. Additionally, the word "drawback" means a negative, not a positive. I believe you meant to say, "A major DRAW of Lugano is outdoor recreation." FYI, I did give you a like, and I did subscribe.

oh i love Switzerland oh i love Europe, these open and free societies re like a gem preserved , the roads, the architecture,neatness, coastlines , art n culture and look how beautiful they preserved and maintained the old castles depicting the old times , Europe is just beautiful n incredible , i have visited many countries in far est nd in middle est n dream to travel to Europe n usa, i have visited Turkey in Europe , but now the utterly beautiful schengen zone thanks for uploading the good stuff, be blessed.

Soelden no 1 is true. Check how much snow each of them have right now. Only Soelden has more than 1 m. (in the mountain 185 cm). The others 30-50 cm with artificial snow (half melted). I was in kitzbuhel and Skiwelt last week. most of the slopes are closed. and the open ones are so bad that plenty of ski accidents every day. Skiwelt was terrible. 20 cm artificial.

Opps!!!! Been to most all on your list… Ischgl Samnoun!!!! C’mon man… ski two countries at one resort! The Ischgl village alone is incredible…. Maybe do a top 10 next time…

I spent one season in Kitzbuehel in 81-82 working at The Londoner pub in nearby Kirchberg. I then spent the next 14 seasons in St. Anton am Arlberg, 10 of those seasons working at Krazy Kanguruh. In between seasons I worked at summer resorts in Greece, Spain, Sweden, and England, and also spent one summer in USA, one in Canada, and 3 ski seasons back home in Australia, Packing up everything and moving twice a year can be a bit of a chore, and you have to be okay with a lot of flying,, but I wouldn't trade those years for anything. BEST time of my life ,full of amazing people, and many of whom were doing a similar thing to me. I'm an old man now living in Prague, but I've still managed to get back to St. Anton and move a bit of snow around, Greatest pastime on earth by far.....Schifahren! . . .
Phil, do you remember Club Habitat in Kirchburg? Nearly fell into the river a few times rolling out of there at gone 3am most mornings

Die Nummer 1 in Österreich ist inzwischen Ischgl. Es fehlen außerdem die großen Skigebiete in Salzburg.
Ischgl ist wirklich auch sehr bedeutend. Bei den Top 5 ist es schwer, natürlich kann man diese auch anders verteilen. Danke fürs Feedback! :)
