It might look fine from the Air, but Edmonton is no longer a City that is Easy to get around. Traffic is serious Impeded by Lane Closures due to Bike Lanes and other Lane Blockers. The LRT has also screwed up many Roads, and it will only get much worse. The West End has lost a Very Large Percentage of Timely Access to Downtown with the Permanent Loss of Stony Plain Rd(New Bridge over Groat Road will be LRT and Bike Lanes only). Incompetent City Council needs to be sent packing and Roads restored for REAL Traffic. While the River Valley looks Impressive from the Air, it is almost Completely Invisible from the Banks, as the City refuses to trim the Trees. Benches and View Points that used to have Vistas, have a Wall of Trees. Effin Morons run the City of Edmonton

Great video. Beautiful footage. I like the downtown shots from the northwest side facing southeast. Lots of newer buildings on that side. There aren't many videos of Edmonton downtown from that side and I wish there was. So, nice to see.

if you ignore the rows of identical houses, big-box stores, endless parking lots and wide suburban highways, it's pretty nice. The little park and riverbank at long island locks is an amazing local gem and I highly recommend having a picnic and a stroll there.
