Which mainline game would you say is the best starting point? I love the spin-offs, monsters, rocket slime, builders. I also own all the mainline games except the mmo which I might start soon cuz wow it looks good. Most people say 11, 8, 5 or the newly released 3hd2d. I like the visuals of 5 the best, on the 3ds screen it just looks so charming. I just don't know which game to start with. Oh I also played 9 which was so great when it was firdt released and we all played online together.

My favorite thing about Muscle Burst and Diligent Farmhand when we were kids was that because we were just playing with whatever we could get our hands on, I don't think I ever had more than 2 Farmhands and 1 Muscle Burst in any deck I built. They were the first cards that made me dream of a store that would sell singles and how cool it would be to go someplace to pay money specifically for what would end up being, in hindsight, total goober chaff commons.

Best parts of this deck in some order are: - Combat trick flood effectively serving as your "no" based counterspells - The amount of effort you force your opponents to put into dealing with a 1/1 - Blanchwood Armor - The notion of a 3 mana top end monogreen stomper - How few rares the deck actually relies on Does seem like there should be a way to be more of a poison/proliferate deck to deal with lifegain, but that's more of a Bo3 concern when you make the jump there. All in all, glad that you're showing off the versatility of green while leaning into all of the different ways that modern card design has given the color a million different answers to the different problems its big dumb creatures usually face.

I second the request for additional story time videos, very little is as rewarding in Magic in this day and age as reminiscing about games with friends from way back when. Thank you for putting up the flier, introducing me to the benefits of occasionally dabbling into the limitations provided by formats and for tolerating proxies in our first game. You can mill me out as many times as you’d like, I’ll always have that Dragon Tyrant laying waste to a then stranger.

I’ll say as a newer player who got into the game via Brothers-War, I feel like some points were valid. I can see where some of the subtly has dropped off but if we’re being genuine, if there was any set to drop something as dumb as “holy cow” pun. It would be in the very ranch/livestock themed set, it fits the criteria that you yourself applied to some of the Simic combine cards. Cows have superpowers? Sure in cowboy land I can see that
