Unfortunately the camera died for my fast clean run (my last run) so here is my fast scratch

This run was a 37.5 1 somewhere. Ended up sitting on a 38.0 that put me .7 back on overall index (13th) and raw FTD

Click the gear icon on the video and change the resolution to HD, it should be very clear. Perhaps your computer is defaulting to low res. Hope that helps!

Wow that looks like an exhilarating drive! How different from the 818? 1 whole world?
The 818 was more powerful but did everything else worse. The lightness (just over 1000lbs with driver) and big wings make this car a whole different beast

The molds are 3d printed using PLA with high infill

Going beyond what I did in the '90's! I made high-strength colored urethane castings with glass filler and cast in place inserts. Was good enough for laser tag vests and guns... Nice work! Will be very interested in the results.
Proper use of the technology, ive had a few parts tempt me make molds from and cast or 3D print molds. However the failure of the ABS parts hasn't quite occurred yet. Awesome job! Lookin forward to the full breakdown vid!

You and me both! Andrew's engineering skills are pretty impressive, and I'm very excited for this project he took on. In one of my upcoming projects (video to come soon), I self taught myself a free CAD program for a his and hers 3d printing challenge. Let's just say what took me ~10 hours to figure out how to do took him about 30 minutes and he did it better LOL

Spintech rocks on any v8,not so much on smaller engines,but way better than flow master and ive used them since 1986,switched to spintech around 2010 and what a better tone.
Are you planning on running a 530 chain? The model looks like the sprocket is very narrow and close to the caliper?
Not sure yet, we will have to adjust the adapters in the model slightly to fit which one we decide to go with. This model was to confirm the overall concept/fitment, and get us to a point where we could send the axles out to be custom cut (which won't change even if we adjust the adapters).
Taller rear tire = more room for diffuser!
Not really, since we wind up lowering the rear to get the car back pretty close to level anyway. More like taller rear tire = possibility of funky roll center and geometries issues we may need to address LOL. We haven't taken the measurements to know for sure yet, but photos we have from running the taller tire last fall, the geometry still looked in a pretty happy place, so I think we will be okay.
I never met you guys but I just recently started autocrossing and I heard from other people how good of a driver you guys are. Just want to say I'm liking this kind of content of yours. Definitely something exciting to see once I get to my first nationals.

Do you have a method in mind for modeling the differences in handling/balance between new and old tires? I'm guessing your first couple events were on old tires, and I suspect you'll start the season next year on new ones. I don't have any experience with the Avons, but I thought I remember hearing about issues others had with a dramatic difference in grip (and consequently balance) when they would put new ones on for "big" events. -Scheister P.S. - Congrats on the baby!
We actually started with 10 run Avons, but one front (the one opposite the blown shock) was ROUGH. That being said, we are intending to switch to Hoosier R20s for next season (but will probably burn up the Avons first). We will have enough winter changes (aero, diff, etc.) that we will just start from square one again on setup. Thankfully our testing this fall still served it's purpose in giving us improvement targets for the winter!

We run an RCP and Solostorm. I would be happy to do that. I suspect we make a bit more power (218whp) and a lot more grip (335’s) :)
