These generic mechanical advice videos would be more instructive if you showed the parts you were discussing, where they are, etc. Showing pictures of mini trucks while making general comments about systems that are common to all vehicles and not specific to the Hijet is minimally useful.

These Kei trucks are a more ideal form of transportation wether it be highway or off-road. But alas, there is no dealership remotely close that sells these light trucks. For use on US roads that are salted in the winter, clean the undercarriage with cold water (preferably a pressure washer), allow it to dry for a couple of days, and spray the entire undercarriage with Surface Shield or another lanolin based corrosion inhibitor. Spray inside the frame as well. Reapply every year or two. Ensure the timing belt was replaced, typically around 80,000 km. There is usually a little tag with the km hand written indicating the last timing belt change. It's a good idea to replace the water pump at the same time.
