Celebrating One Year of Tadatmya Sangha - January 11, 2025
🌟 One Year of Tadatmya Sangha 🌟 Today, we celebrated the first birthday of Tadatmya Sangha, our Devotional Alliance. It was a heartfelt gathering filled with reflections, sharing, and gratitude for all that has unfolded over this past year. Looking back, it was wonderful to recount what we’ve co-created together-weekly satsangs, TAD Talks, podcasts, retreats, sisterhoods and brotherhoods, and s...
Anthropomorphism vs Theomorphism-Understanding "Made in His Image” with Hriday Caitanya

Far from being a mere speculative exercise, understanding theomorphism can be a deeply embodied and grounded experience. By bridging the gap between information and transformation, we will explore reality as a web of "hints and foretastes." These hints point to a greater Referent, and once we perceive this Referent in all things, the world transforms from a "worthy place" into a joyful and sacr...

Radhe Radhe!

I love the mention of the symbol of baptism. Jesus going down to the Jordan to fulfill John's prophecy (I baptize you in water but that one that comes after will baptize you in fire and the holy spirit...) draws an interesting parallel with Nityananda foreseeing Sri Gaura's need to visit the love-groves on the banks of the Yamuna, where ever and anon the lovers of Kunja-bihari seek the shelter personal darshan. The ritual of baptism certainly points toward a purifying of heart and mind, as when the body is similarly cleaned by cold, clear water, it needs first to be stripped bare. And the courage of the soul to bear the shame of its naked imperfection in the eyes of eye beloved is Love, is trust, is vulnerability - its very life, hope and self.

Haribol! Thank you so much for this very sweet and wonderful discourse. I was so enthused and enriched by it, with much wisdom being imparted, with genuine humbleness, vulnerabliity and humanness. I wish I could have been a participatory part of it. I was feeling a bit separated, with no way to be communicate with you. I was on youtube, watching from the start. On youtube there was no comment facility during the broadcast, as there is now; otherwise I would have submitted a question or a comment. Love what was said about prayer, love, God's presence, caitya-guru, and so much else.🧡🧡🧡 Greatly appreciated, and I look forward to the next session.

Super presentation Dhanya, insightful and well-articulated. Being a therapist myself here in the UK , as well as a devotee for over 40 years, I have also been exploring the themes you mention. Maybe you should publish all this in a booklet to reach a broader devotee audience. It is obviously much needed.

"My Queen and Her Lover"... beautiful. This makes me think of Devi bhaktas where the tattva of the Goddess becomes the central focus. In that tradition, I wonder if She has a lover and what the importance of that lover is... hari bol

Thank you so much, Ananda Murari, what a beautiful class. You tied together much of what I've been contemplating recently and gave such a perfect metaphor that I have been needing and will surely carry with me. "If I can finally see my shadow, That means somewhere There's a light." ("Another Lifetime," Dhanya) I love this line! It's so gripping, you'd think it would be ingrained in our memory, but I had to look it up too haha. Powerful reminder to have faith that we are loved unconditionally and can take shelter of that Grace. Especially potent when mirrored by a spouse. Truly, this is what we are all meant to give each other, and I can honestly say that you have always been that light whenever we have met, Prabhu. Thank you. An interesting point around the "King, Warrior, Magician, Lover" is that Gillette and Moore elaborate each archetype as having a polaric shadow that is active-passive, e.g. the King has both a tyrant shadow and a weakling prince shadow (really just two sides of the same coin). These correspond perfectly to what you were saying about fear and exploitation: when we don't have a mature relationship with the fire, we are either too close or too far from it and can't hold the tension (between masculine and feminine energies) and so the dualistic "small self" will collapse into its all-or-nothing polarities, unable to accommodate the heat. Conversely, the more responsibility I take in approaching that fire and offering the objects that occlude and need to be released (the garbage), as well as offer containment for the embers and flames and offer the holy fuel of love, devotion, the more I will reap the benefits of warmth, vision, and transformation. Thus, our responsibility as keepers of the fire is two-fold: humbling myself before God - letting go and letting God incinerate my false ego obstacles (instead of wallowing in identification with the shadows they cast), and being sensitive to the needs of the fire, of the feminine, the Giver of Life. The more I refine myself in the light of illumination, the better capable I'll be to offer myself in loving devotional service, which is always to the Fire, the mouth of Visnu. This is an invitation to displace my ego and put the other in the center, to put God in the center. It is a calling into prayer, for we see our dependence on God to provide the care and support that our Beloved needs. This is the essence of the grhasta ashram. It is a direct manifestation of divinity in the form of tending the fire... Brilliant, Prabhu. Much love and many blessings to your family! Hare Krishna, Balarama Shakti

I heard you say that love cannot begin from a feeling, it must begin from a concept. I beg to differ. When a baby is born the well adjusted parent loves that baby with all their heart. I have heard a parent say that they didn’t even know how deep their love could be before they had a baby. Even animals love their babies. And in experiencing this love, the baby is absorbing what love is and accordingly, will know what it is when their time comes, to love another. Isnt this the most natural thing? No philosophy needed. This love overflows the heart. Even the mothers physiology shows this. I read a study ( apologies for not having a reference ), which showed that, if a pregnant mother is hungry, any nourishment which comes will go to the unborn child. Is this not the beginning of love on the tree, whose roots are watered by Bhakti? And the eternal origin of Love is the root.

I really appreciate seeing the development of our emotional understanding as part of the intelligence we are to use to come closer to living in love. Our emotional system is a god-given source of knowledge to inform our understanding of self, each other, the world, God and the relationships between all, to help us “channel our human experience.”

I feel relieved, that I'm not alone. We need to love in order to feel that our existence makes sense. Loving Krishna is soo magical, serving our relationship with Him gives so much. We shouldn't stop ourselves from going fully in the process of becoming crazy out of love, only because someone claimed that we are not enough yet. Love is one of Srimati Radharani names and She is the biggest alchemist, who changes our loving service into sweet gold. Thank You dear Didi for this wonderful sharing 🙏 Hare Krishna ❤
