Bio:
Snigdha Jain is an Assistant Professor in the section of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. Funded by the Francis Family Foundation, the NIA GEMSSTAR award, and the Yale Office for Physician Scientist Development and Pepper Scholar awards, her research focuses on improving patient-centered outcomes of older adults with serious illnesses. Her post-doctoral work elucidated socioeconomic disparities in patient-centered outcomes after critical illness and as an early career faculty, she has used health services methods to identify differences in care delivery potentially underlying disparities in outcomes. Her impactful work has been acknowledged through awards by national societies including the American Society of Clinical Investigation, American Geriatrics Society, and the American Thoracic Society. Dr. Jain is now using innovative technology-based methods to harness individual- and population-level data to inform the development and delivery of effective interventions that can enhance functional recovery among older adults after critical illness hospitalization.
