Does anyone else find it comical that Mr. Randy Bell was very set on not hearing more from Tidal Wave, because they met their 3 minutes, and then got praise for being the one councilman doing the most to basically get rid of Tidal Wave? Well played sir, well played.
I bet if the new parking policies go away, that A tax will magically appear.
I bet if the new parking policies go away, your trash problem will go away.
linda tucker is a nutjob and has hurt the iop, she is a gross representation of the island
More palms at the marina because, you know, Isle of Palms!
The dock configuration is weird.
What's all this talk about marketing? You need a daily route into and out of IOP provided by CARTA. Simple.
Playback at 1.5x. Much more interesting.

Just temporary was a COMPLETE LIE TO THE REST OF THE AREA COMMUNITIES....You are only slowing up the local businesses for your own town, and in the end will hurt your "township" income. Why lie, and not just come out and say what is happening. There are so many places inaccessible for the locals in surrounding communities for various reasons. Why do we need to pay for parking in a PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY...... They do not do this in the mountians near waterfalls or overlooks....perhaps you should pay when you go up there to visit too....REMEMBER, THIS IS MOTHER NATURE'S LAND....Not yours.
Nice diversity.
it's obvious that the council is not listening to eachother! The Chief already said that distancing is NOT an issue on the beach, esp along palm between 21 and 40. Why do they continue to move thru their own agenda? Listen to your chief, he is out in the fields each day and knows what is and is not working. I would be more concerned about the front beach than the other parts. That's where all the business is, and the fun is at.
Looking forward to the new restaurant.
Consider what some other places are doing. Have the business request the visitor put mask on. If they will not, then ask them to leave. If they still will not then law enforcement comes in cause now they're trespassing.
WTH do you think you are to mandate this mask idiocy? You have no right to do so & a bunch of little fascist who should be removed from office. Mask are absolutely not required, they lower oxygen intake & raise carbon dioxide intake.
Do your own research do be a tool!
The idiotic closing of the beach was another reason to remove this bunch of weak representatives who should be sued for the destruction of livelihoods & failure to insure our rights.
I very much appreciate that there are council members who stated that they, personally, were not in favor of this ordinance but voted it for it this time because they had heard from Isle of Palms citizens and were elected to represent citizens. Politicians who change their minds after listening to their constituents on specific issues will have my vote. Thank you City Council.
?...
SC511 would be great to check, but the camera at Rifle Range is still out of order. Any plans to get that back online? Thanks for all you do!!
Thank you! We desperately need our rental income coming back in, albeit in a safe manner!
Open the beaches
Yes, you are defiantly excluding the island residents
18:56 Mayor Jimmy Carroll: Limit groups to no larger than 3 and have strict enforcement by the police to write tickets. Where do they get these numbers? White House says: All individuals, WHEN IN PUBLIC (e.g., parks, outdoor recreation areas, shopping areas), should maximize physical distance from others. Social settings of more than 10 people, where appropriate distancing may not be practical, should be avoided unless precautionary measures are observed. Does Police Chief Cornett think this is the best way to protect the people? It is certainly not defending the constitution’s “right to assemble”.
Careful Council Member Ward at 42:49, that mike is hot! You cant fbomb your way out of a crisis. Cool heads all.
Mtp should close the outgoing lanes from IOP they want a priv island give them one or better yet everyone go vote the whole council off
We now need Mount Pleasant to keep us safe from you island folks
We in Mount Pleasant pay a ton of tax dollars to Isle of Palms and we need to stop
Stay on Isle of Palms then! We do not want you over here
So let me get this straight... Out of state yankee's can rent places, but local people whose taxes go to IOP & Sullivan's Island are not allowed????
Yankee's? Why do you label people? Still mad about them freeing the slaves?
Protect the rentals! Those people can't make their $20,000 mortgage payments on beachfront homes!
Hope the city has a good legal fund. Lawsuits forthcoming!
Beaches will be over run from now until the end of time
So are there zero hotels working in the state of SC as of April 28, 2020? Why is the Comfort Inn open on the other side of the Isle of Palms connector? If they are so concerned about public safety why are they driving cars where 4,400,000 people are seriously injured a year?
Why should the IOP City Council be debating what will be decided by the Governor of South Carolina? Short term rental income on the Isle of Palms pays for the police and other public services thru our very much increased property taxes. As a former full time resident and now a part time resident,, I am very familiar with the fact that my property taxes increased from $5000 annually to $20,000 annually because I rent my home more than 12 weeks per year, This debate is senseless on this council. The governor of South Carolina has the authority to open up our beaches and our short term rentals.
please turn up the volume- thanks
Nice upload, can’t wait to see more videos. Have you checked smzeus(.)com?! It will help your videos start to trend.
Neat-o. Thanks for posting IOP!
