As a sikkimese myself Name manuma subba being a mongoloid Nepalese I am sure sikkim is beautiful but our generation are not aware of this beautiful history about our state of you want to know more about sikkim you can even read a Book“ smash and grab".
Who is the narrator? He says that local people have somehow curbed down Hinduism in Sikkim. First, Hinduism does not force its opinion on other people, unlike this western-minded narrator. Secondly, Buddhism and Hinduism are like brother and sister, so stop spreading wrong information about any conflict.

Loved the documentary ❤. I'm one of the many Sikkimese born after the merger and strangely, watching this video gave me a sense of nostalgia. Ps. To all the insecure Indians and other nosy people, just let us celebrate our history in peace(it's you guys quarreling that lead to this in the first place🙃).

@kalsangsamphel1509 Not everyone is "insecure" and "nosy..." I will always respect your position and culture. When I was born, Sikkim was already a part of India. This doesn't mean I have any sort of hate in my heart towards Sikkhim, or anyone else. Why do you assume the negative by default? I am from Bihar and not a moment in my life did I ever have any sort of "hate" towards Sikkhim. If you hate me, it is your choice. But I always love and respect other people.

Mr tamang you are not bhutia or lepcha or limbu for that matter you are just a buddist just like many other nepali FYI nepali ethnicity comprised 120 plus tribes ok and if you dont know newar were famous merchants and architects and have been in the Himalayas for 2000 plua years and are mostly consecrated in Kathmandu but due to their occupation they are distributed all over , Bhutan's king even invited newars to build a silver stupa in the memory of the 1st king and yes newars even went to china tibet burma(Myanmar) etc and guess what even in the newar community there are Buddhist (bhotay people with tibet roots) if you think just because you follow tibitian buddhism you are Native or bhutia just know even gurungs thakali etc do and they dont call themselves bhutia and lepcha its Drukpa and Rong respectively and half of nepali ethnicity is filled with bhotay and tribes like lepcha hindu as a matter of fact are less in numbers when counted in terms of tribes and communities but are majority in numbers

What other countries think of sovereign are different from what "indians" think of their sovereign states. I am from Bhopal but can't imagine India without west bengal or Gujarat or Maharashtra or Tamil Nadu or Arunachal or any other states. Even Andaman Nicobar Archipelago people. Indian states are quasi sovereign not completely sovereign. States have their own power, whether it is Police or Administration.
