VI - aloft, a surgical light [22edo microtonal music]
dense and dissonant, brutal and beating
written with simple rearrangements and transpositions of comfortable hand shapes on the Lumatone; the result is quite interesting to me.
1:15 is some of my favourite microtonal writing i've done, though i know it's not for everyone; definitely has some Debussy/Milhaud? elements to my ear

Spent quite a lot of time on the first 2 minutes but as a deadline was approaching some of the later parts definitely got rushed; having said this, pretty happy with how the climactic moments ended out. Definitely not a finished product - getting this workshopped by an ensemble in a couple weeks but felt like sharing in its current form anyway. Kind of cool to see a NotePerformer render of this...

Pretty fun map - didn't expect the zipline mechanics to synergise so well with the fish jars but Star Sapphire seems to always map in such a natural way with throwable entities - playing some GDDH on the side before approaching this definitely helped me get accustomed to their style. thanks! i think the way i write in 22edo is centered very much around being idiomatic for the lumatone, which leads me to believe that if I was able to compose for these tunings away from the instrument it might be a really different outcome? though admittedly i don't think i'm quite comfortable enough with 22 to write with it without the aid of an instrument or playback, unlike 12. guess i need more practice, though i'm getting pretty good at ballparking the intervals in my head!

that's honestly beautiful it's a shame occidental music is just stuck to the standard tone system thing, I think too many people have yet to discover how music can be way more than pop and C major chords, carry way more emotions, and lead the way to so many different ways to express creativity

Funny enough, there aren't any parity cases on higher order megaminx puzzles - I'm curious as to why this is so, but it's kind of nice

oh I lied actually there's a "pll parity" on even layered megaminx puzzles but not on odd layeree puzzles like the gigaminx, teraminx, etc.

Nice arrangement. Some of the voice leading reminds me of mid century modern orchestral arrangements, all the richer with the occasional crunchy xenharmony snuck in. Great electric piano sound too. I've gravitated towards AAS Lounge Lizard 4 (also supports custom tunings) over Pianoteq but both are solid choices for the burgeoning microtonalist. I wish more people stuck to physically modeled VSTs instead of cheesy sounding synths for microtonal stuff.
Gotta agree with you on the last thing, though a lot of people hoping to work with microtuning either don't want to or can't sink the money into a nice sounding VST which is fair enough I'll take a look at AAS Lounge Lizard but I think pianoteq is doing plenty fine for me right now Thanks for the kind words ^^
