HBLR - Afternoon action at various stations, Part 2
Went out to Essex Street, Hoboken, 8th Street, and Danforth Avenue to get some HBLR trains, and got a NIS train at Essex and at Danforth, including wrong-railed PM Rush hour action at Danforth Avenue as well.
I still got quite a few more videos to upload, including PATH, so stay tuned ! And during the month of December, I’ll be going out to NYC to ride the Holiday train. Anyways, enjoy this long compilation of videos taken between 12 and 5PM.

Got a chance one afternoon to record HBLR action at various stations including Essex Street, Liberty State Park, 45th Street, 22nd Street, and Danforth Avenue. Also some yard action at LSP, I got to see a put-in (The 4:13 PM from LSP to Hoboken) with a very friendly operator. So I got some nice videos that day and over 20 minutes worth of footage. PM rush hours are usually wrong railed south of LSP to allow for southbound Bayonne Flyers to fly past local stations, but that doesn’t always happen every day. A ride on the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail from Hoboken to Tonnelle Avenue. This line only uses one car since it’s very low density and is designed as a shuttle. A Bayonne Flyer ride on the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail from Liberty State Park to 8th Street, during the PM Rush hour. Also for some reason the PA system was messed up, and the train did not want to say 8th Street, lol. This was the 5:24 PM out of Hoboken, and this was one goated operator flying by Richard and Danforth going the full 55 MPH!! You don’t see many operators do that which is a shame....

Here is a ride on the Bayonne Flyer from Hoboken to 8th Street on the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail This was the 5:24 PM out of Hoboken. A better and longer version to my previous video. 7 Bayonne Flyers are captured along with 2 Not In Service trains and many local trains. The first couple videos were filmed around 4:30 PM. I love the light rail. Only if light rails need to be elevated or underground to reduce traffic impact.
Yeah, but that can also be difficult to do. Lots of regulations they need to get past in order to have an underground train line. That’s why the 2nd Avenue line in NYC is taking forever. But then again, an underground Light Rail would be nice as these trains get into a good amount of accidents with cars.

It's the rush hour bayonne flyer skip-stop service
peep at 23:57 you can kind of see that the wires in the tunnel stop running for a little. This is the abandoned 19th Street station that has been closed since 1957 to speed up service. There is also an abandoned 28th Street station that was closed in 1937 but unfortunately i was filming the displays and maps inside of the train.

there actually were but youtube turned down the quality a bit so it’s harder to see, its on the top of the winshield and on the taillights

So basically there are 2 trains during the rush hour that have their last stop at Danforth Avenue, then there is a track the yo on where the operator goes to the other side so he can go back to Hoboken. Thanks for watching!
