Words of wisdom.
If you love mecha like Gundam, check out this man's artwork on the Wildstorm comic book Brass
fantastic
Thank you very much, this is exactly what I was looking for.
Why would you ink on another sheet of paper instead of inking over the pencils?
Extraordinary.
no offense but this is indeed BORING
Make more videos! Please my boyfriend really likes your work!

That's so cool
What paper he's using?
I have a question how is the process to paint an finished black/white comics with screentones? i have difficulties with them cuz those screentones don't let me select elements to move them to different layers so curently i paint a solid color over eath element and then i can select it properply , but it takes a looot of time there is any better way to do it?
Sorry, you lost me at screentones. This video demonstrates the only process I know to color comics. As you can see, I’m only using one layer to color on. I add a layer for FX at the end.
Magic Erase Duck
Can't wait for when my drawing improves so I can do stuff like this.
The pen your using is called pilot G tec c4 but I know there are other size number pen.
Why do you keep saying marker. What your using is a pen and I know because I have that pen your using.
what ball pen do you use ?
Looks great! Is there a particular reason why you work in RGB but use CMYK sliders? Is this to basically have a digital and print friendly version?
Awesome artwork! I noticed him looking off to the side in the beginning, did he use reference pictures or a preliminary thumbnail sketch to base his drawing?
Nice work!
Well , now I need one of those eraser drills.
Looks good!
Can I use an ordinary office pen?
Amazing art he did in x-men vol 2 #27 amazing artist :D
Nice work!
Nice work!!
What is that pen with pencil looking?
just goes to show you that you do not need all kinds of fancy stuff to draw/ink just a few fine tip pens and a good old black sharpie
I recently bought that pilot pen,G-TEC-C3 (0.15 mm),thanks to this video, its a best gel pen ever! I cant understand why it isnt so populair..thanks again!
[МЕЧ] PANZER PATRIOT does Scott robertson not using this pen also?
@@bennyvermeulen7255 I have no idea, must check him out.
@@bennyvermeulen7255 Ah yes,I ve seen his videos as well.Yea,he uses some gel pen indeed.Im not sure I've seen him using G-tech, but maybe he did.
@@panzerpatriot4920 the pen looked familiar to me, saw a artist using it. Thought it was Scott. But those are good pens anyway.

[МЕЧ] ARMOR HAUPTMANN in the comments below :)
Ian Hannin, :) Thanks a lot Sir! Amazing drawing btw!
[МЕЧ] ARMOR HAUPTMANN thanks for watching! That’s Richard Bennett, one of the greats!
what paper are you using? i hate it when my ink spread in my paper, giving a look of dirty lineart. I want your paper pls tell me what paper is that.
Your inks aren't enough just as the marvel way says
How long did this take
Absolutely killing this drawing!!!! Very impressive.
I had never heard of this artist before, I've been collecting comics since about 1980 or '81, I recognize the other artists that he mentioned but not him. It was truly a privilege and an honor to watch a master at his craft. I learned a lot about layouts and saving time transitioning to actual pencils with a light table. Awesome, thanks for sharing.
Would love to know what kind of paper he uses for the pencil pages and his final ink page. Does anyone know? Or have a suggestion? I am using Bristol now, but does a light board work through that thickness for inking? Thanks, this is a great video!
Diane Rios no, maybe just copy paper or marker paper? You have different types of thickness in those papers. And the thicker ones 200 or 300 grams are very smooth, like Bristol or Canson feeling. You can have them on A3 also. I use these cheap papers that are made for laserprinter or inkjet printer of 300 or 200 grams to practice for inking etc. because they are cheaper then Bristol or Canson paper. The thick ones don’t go very well with a light box. Experiment with cheap copy paper in the variety in their thickness. I have 200grams Canon paper in a 250 sheets package. But watch out that you don’t buy accidentally paper for printing photos on.
With bristol board you have to use the lightpad at brightest setting to see page underneath it
44:56 did you hear that or is it just me?
