    There is an editing mistake in this video, the map that is used in this video is for whole century from 1000-1100 AD (which is wrong) instead of using specific for 1099 AD, APOLOGIES!

    There is Rum village in Hatay city (Türkiye ) today.The old people speak arabic.Rum does not mean Greek.The Turkish-speaking Karamanites in central Anatolia were also known as Rum.They were the continuation of the Pechenegs, the Christian Turks.When the Seljuk Turks came to conquer Anatolia, there were already Turkish-speaking Christian communities living in Anatolia.

    The name Byzantine was used later on, The time of great Selcuk empire ,Anatolia was called East Roman Empire. Selcuk Turks used double headed eagle flags not crescent and star.
