reminder, the creator Ken Akamatsu was told that he should make another unwanted romance harem series. So he did that...up till around this point and shifted it to a lewdish unwanted harem comedy with shonen level fights...yeah I think he made the right decision
Too bad the anime skipped 90% of the action scenes and then ended with one of the worst anime-only ending ever written lol

Yes, UQ holder is a sequel to Negima. The Negima animes are okay, but I really really recommend the manga if you like UQ holder :). It's so good.

The manga is 100 times better. They butchered the anime hard haha. Hope UQ holder holds to the expectation since the battles are ferocious right from the beginning of the series.
Yeah :/ Saw episode 1 of UQ holder and it looks alright, but I hear it's derailing from the manga already. Really hope that one day Negima gets an anime that follows the manga fully but idk how possible that is anymore haha
Insane Burritos If they want to tell the story properly since UQ Holder has deep ties with the first series and Negi is still an important character in both series. But the problem would be the budget because the show would be long and the 40 initial chapters are more a romance/life school/ecchi/shoujo which could mislead the audience.
