Thank you. That was a tough ride.

I couldn’t believe how many gators there were. And none moved at all. Just chilling.

I seriously can’t believe we did this. 1) because you love gators. 2) just craziness!

Absolutely gorgeous trip. We were shocked how clear the water was.

I hope someday we can make it back to that spot. Definitely need to hike it again.

The ferry was ~$200 something and the sea plane nearly $500

It was such a hard decision for us to make. Scary at the time too. So fortunate to have those people help us. Iowa nice was a blessing that day. Hoping to come back and ride again!

That is on our list. Was hoping to make it before winter but I don’t think it’s going to happen this year. Looking forward to eventually checking it out. Any specific spots to add to our list when we make it there?

So that was actually Waioka Pond (Venus Pool) however we really didn’t go into detail on that one because it can be challenging to get to and can be dangerous. They go into detail in the Shaka guide that you can download and make it pretty easy to find. It’s also on a lot of blogs.

Hopefully it was helpful. I think I just commented to a different comment about the airline. But just in case, it was either American or Alaska air that we used. We called to confirm and they were very helpful. I’m pretty sure it was Alaska air. United did not allow it at that time

So I can’t remember if we flew American or Alaska air to Hawaii. I think it was Alaska air but not 100% certain. I do know United did not at that time allow our dog in the cabin to Hawaii specifically. I would call directly and ask but I’m pretty sure it was Alaska air that we used.

It’s such a wonderful place in the summer. This was from our first time ever in winter and was a beautiful sight.

Definitely recommend visiting in the winter if you’re able ❄️

So happy we made that happen.

Approx 2 months. Usually we run a couple months behind.

Some of the trails were damaged by Helene but we are a bit behind in posting and this was literally just a couple weeks before Helene.

And thank you for watching. Hope you enjoy them. We were so happy we got to explore this area and being our first time, it didn’t disappoint. Gorgeous place. We were shocked by how packed it was. Drove through once in February and no one was around. We definitely did not make it there. Sounds like a good spot to add to our list of adventures. Hopefully in the future on another trip we can see that area. Love nature. Thanks for sharing the info on places to see. Always enjoy tips from locals!
