Tyler and Kari
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 6 ม.ค. 2020
Hi, I'm Tyler and my wife Kari and I are traveling physical therapists. We started this channel as a way to share our adventures with family and friends as we traveled the county working as traveling physical therapists. Traveling as a career was never the plan, but it found us! Having lived in 8 different states, we wanted to document and share the beauty that is the United States.
Everglades National Park | Did you know you could do this?
We love biking. Kari loves wildlife. Florida has gators. Basically that means we knew we had to visit Shark Valley in the Florida Everglades because you can BIKE WITH GATORS!
I'm not sure how many gators we saw, but it was to many to count. Worth the trip!
If you aren't into biking, they also have a tram tour that takes you along the 15 mile loop and to visit the observation tower.
Plan ahead and if the bikes sell out, you can also bring your own.
WOULD YOU DO IT?

Visiting Dry Tortugas National Park | A Key West Adventure
มุมมอง 2.3Kวันที่ผ่านมา
Was it expensive yes... Was it worth it... ABSOLUTELY There really are only two ways to get to the Dry Tortugas, by Ferry or Sea Plane. Both are expensive, the Ferry currently approx starting at $235 last I checked, and the sea plane for a half day was $494. While we did spend the extra to take the sea plane, any trip to the Tortugas would be absolutely amazing. Why did we love the plane so muc...

Exploring Georgia’s Tallulah Gorge, Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, and German Town!
มุมมอง 47628 วันที่ผ่านมา
We spent the perfect weekend in Georgia searching for Fall Foliage. While we planned for a scenic railway to take in the beautiful Appalachian foothills, we did not expect to explore a German Christmas town or Tallulah Gorge. Both were an added bonus to this perfect trip! Hi, I'm Tyler and my wife Kari and I are traveling physical therapists. We started this channel as a way to share our advent...

This was the perfect spot to spend our time leaf peeping the fall foliage in Virginia. We started at mile marker 0 and tried to cover as many miles as we could in about 36 hours! Reaching approx mile marker 175, we enjoyed many viewpoints and can't wait to go back. Hi, I'm Tyler and my wife Kari and I are traveling physical therapists. Exploring South Carolina by Bike | the SWAMP RABBIT trail
มุมมอง 573หลายเดือนก่อน
The Swamp Rabbit Trail is a 28-mile multi-use (walking and bicycling) greenway and connects Travelers Rest with the city of Greenville, South Carolina. Not only is it a great trail for riding, but it has plenty of stops for food and entertainment. It does get a little busy mid day on a weekend, but absolutely worth the ride. Is it South Carolina's best bike trail? We like to think it just might...
Exploring the Great Smoky Mountains National Park
มุมมอง 872หลายเดือนก่อน
We finally had the opportunity to explore America's most visited National Park. Between beautiful hikes, the touristy town of Gatlinburg and of course Cades Cove, we had the best time and see why so many people visit this park. There is a little something for everyone on this trip, but I think our favorite may have been Cades Cove, not only for its beauty, but all the WILDLIFE! Chapters 00:00 I...

Great job!!
Thank you. That was a tough ride.
Oh Man, that’s super cool. They’re even less spooked than here in LA. Thanks for sharing your adventures Ryan & Beth
I couldn’t believe how many gators there were. And none moved at all. Just chilling.
Do not miss this when visiting the Everglades if you love to see wildlife. Hands down best bike ride of the year!
I seriously can’t believe we did this. 1) because you love gators. 2) just craziness!
That looks like a fabulous day trip! The clarity of the water is insane!
Absolutely gorgeous trip. We were shocked how clear the water was.
I’m all in for the group hike🌸😎🌸
I hope someday we can make it back to that spot. Definitely need to hike it again.
How much does it cost?
The ferry was ~$200 something and the sea plane nearly $500
3 ways to get out to Fort Jeff: 1) your's or a friend's boat 2) Park's ferry or 3) float plane🚤⛴✈
Haha ok yes very true. Now that would be a great way to get there.
That big seashell was a horse conch. That large fish was a permit. Awesome video, btw.
I was wondering what that fish was! Thank you
Thank you for the info. We were wondering. Figured some kind of conch. We saw similar looking shells at the gift shops. And very much appreciate the large fish identification. That thing was huge. Thanks for watching. We really appreciate it.
The highlight of our Key West trip. Some of the most clear water we’ve ever snorkeled in! The whole trip was amazing
Absolutely. That flight was so cool! Something unique and can’t believe we actually did it.
One of my favorite places! Thanks for reminding me how special it is! 👍
@@edwood7741thanks for watching. It is a very special place. Loved visiting.
If you went to the Key West Key Lime Pie Company you would have liked the key lime pie. They have gluten free options too!
Darn. We didn’t know. Just found one that had gluten free and went for it. Will have to make a trip back! Gives a good reason to return.
"WORLD Book"
That’s the one! ☝️
They say a picture is worth 1,000 words. Kari’s key lime pie tasting pictures were priceless. Enjoyed the suggestions on where to visit. Looking forward to your next adventure. But Kari no more taste tests on camera
Haha they sure were. I think Kari’s face gave the best description of what she thought of the pie. No words necessary.
CANNOT believe how amazing the snorkeling was and what we saw. Such great shots of the marine life on the go pro!
Seriously. So happy we ended up going to that beach. Worked out perfectly.
At least Tyler liked the pie 🤣
lol I was shocked she tried it. Delicious I thought. I told her, you have to for the video.
@@TylerandKari perfect motivation
It was very lime-y
I hope you checked out Ernest Hemingway’s house while you were down there
That was a great spot to see. Loved the history of it.
Yes, and all the cats that live there
Good for you...knowing when to quit. Heat stroke is serious and so is food sickness. Thanks for coming to Iowa! You ALL come back soon!
It was such a hard decision for us to make. Scary at the time too. So fortunate to have those people help us. Iowa nice was a blessing that day. Hoping to come back and ride again!
I live down south in Georgia go dawgs!
Some good football in the south! Beautiful state too.
Them colors still look great!
They really did. Even being color blind I thought pretty good.
@@TylerandKari now that's the real testament.
Glad you explored that suspension bridge for me. I would've been holding on for dear life!
Haha it was definitely an exciting bridge too. Plenty of swinging as people walked on it.
Didn't know the Cherokee used old home depot buckets to fish hahah
Haha it’s a well known fact. Much preferred over Lowe’s.
Great video, thanks for sharing!
Thank you. Appreciate it! Thanks for watching.
Blown away by Northern Georgia. That was such an amazing trip. Wish we would have had more time there
I know you weren’t expecting that. By far one of my favorite weekends of our entire time in the South. Until now of course. I know. Another few days at least!
Awesome video. Just randomly found you guys on TH-cam through recommendations. New Sub!
Thank you. We really appreciate the comment. Always motivating to hear from people and help to keep us going making videos. 👍
You should come to West Virginia. Beautiful state.
That is on our list. Was hoping to make it before winter but I don’t think it’s going to happen this year. Looking forward to eventually checking it out. Any specific spots to add to our list when we make it there?
Great place to cycle.. Sections are also closed during winter for vehicles.
We saw a few cyclists when we were there. Would love to ride it someday. Beautiful spot.
I can’t think of a better place to visit during fall. This park away is magical 🍁 🍂
I’m so happy we made time to go up and visit.
Another great video Tyler and Kari 😊
Thank you. We really enjoyed this one.
You don't need E power , you are riding a REAL bike. Maybe when you are 85 years old Carrie you can ride a ebike.
Maybe not “need” but definitely enjoy the e power sometimes! Plus makes keeping up a little easier.
Where’s the first place you went where you were jumping in the water 0:34
So that was actually Waioka Pond (Venus Pool) however we really didn’t go into detail on that one because it can be challenging to get to and can be dangerous. They go into detail in the Shaka guide that you can download and make it pretty easy to find. It’s also on a lot of blogs.
Beautiful sunset ❤😊
Yes it was. Absolutely beautiful.
Stunning 🤩 a fall foliage dream
It really is!
The Smoky Mt’s are in NC also
I think I left that part out but we did realize that when we went visiting the park. Need to do some in NC in general as we don’t know that area well.
Great ride. Nice trail. I always enjoy you vacations 😂
😆 well keep tagging along! Have some good ones coming up! Thanks for watching!
Great shots, edits, and narration 👌
Thanks! Kari did a lot of this video. Mostly her organization.
I spent a week in Greenville this spring at the Trek Travel Ride Camp. We stayed right downtown and used the Swamp Rabbit trail almost every day. A great place to ride.
That sounds like a good time. Loved the trail. Such a nice ride.
Another great video my friends and do you miss your 600x yet lol
Thank you. Appreciate that. lol well I haven’t had a chance to ride much, but the second I try to go on a trail I’m sure I’ll be missing it a lot. Or whenever I need to adjust shifting until I buy another bike with a pinion.
@ next weekend we’re gonna make sure Louie puts your old bike through its paces on the tally tango
@@HuntersCyclingAdventuresnice. You going to film it?
@@TylerandKari you know it
Such a long, great, trail system. Who knew South Carolina had that many paved trails?!
Seriously. My favorite by far. Columbia was nice too. But that one was great.
I so appreciate this video. I'm moving to Hawaii, and I am not putting him in cargo with the luggage. I just need to make sure I can find an airline to will allow my pup to fly to Hawaii with me in the cabin. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hopefully it was helpful. I think I just commented to a different comment about the airline. But just in case, it was either American or Alaska air that we used. We called to confirm and they were very helpful. I’m pretty sure it was Alaska air. United did not allow it at that time
Airlines that allow my dog to fly with me in the cabin to Hawaii?
So I can’t remember if we flew American or Alaska air to Hawaii. I think it was Alaska air but not 100% certain. I do know United did not at that time allow our dog in the cabin to Hawaii specifically. I would call directly and ask but I’m pretty sure it was Alaska air that we used.
I’ve been there in the summer and it is spectacular but this is breathtaking!
It’s such a wonderful place in the summer. This was from our first time ever in winter and was a beautiful sight.
Definitely recommend visiting in the winter if you’re able ❄️
A winter wonderland ❄️ 🩵
Can’t wait to go again!
I just love snow ❄️ ❤😊
Always beautiful. Not always fun to drive in.
@TylerandKari true that
Literally what fall dreams are made of! So beautiful
So happy we made that happen.
I guess this was filmed months ago.
Approx 2 months. Usually we run a couple months behind.
No Helene damage?
Some of the trails were damaged by Helene but we are a bit behind in posting and this was literally just a couple weeks before Helene.
An NC OG here. First, thanks for sharing your travels Road Trip PT. The Smokies and the surrounding areas are awesome. Glad you got some, but it is only the tip of the iceberg. Also, it was very bold of y’all to stop in Gatlinburg on a crowded day. I pass through there sometimes for kayaking and mtb, but rarely stop. If you did not make it on this trip, if in in the area try to make it over to Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest on the NC side (not easy to get to). This is one of the few spots remaining of native old growth forest in the east (big a$$ trees). The very best time is early spring when the wildflowers are in bloom, but awesome in the summer as well. Again, thanks for sharing the trips. Cheers!
And thank you for watching. Hope you enjoy them. We were so happy we got to explore this area and being our first time, it didn’t disappoint. Gorgeous place. We were shocked by how packed it was. Drove through once in February and no one was around. We definitely did not make it there. Sounds like a good spot to add to our list of adventures. Hopefully in the future on another trip we can see that area. Love nature. Thanks for sharing the info on places to see. Always enjoy tips from locals!
Ok this video makes it seem like I really love hotdogs and eat them often.. lol Also, props to Kacie for the GoPro shots on that second hike, we should hire her!
Haha well corn dogs too. Yes! Also so happy to get some shots of both of us for memories!
It’s so beautiful out there
Still amazed at how beautiful it was. Something special for sure.
@ if I ever win the lottery, I’m definitely buying a cabin somewhere in the smoky Mountains
That would be a great spot. Shoot you could get two cabins if you win.
Some of the hardest days biking were in the smokies for me.
I bet that was some beautiful scenery though from a bike.
Did you bike through Cades Cove?
