What I want to see invented is a miniature air mattress, maybe 2'x3' or so, with a self-inflating/deflating air pump, that would lift to, say, 18" to 24" or even 30" (higher makes easier standing), with a very long extension cord. Historically I've used a twin air mattress ($39), with great success and ease of use.. it was just too big to keep it around just for this. A super variation would be to make the air pump battery operated, and package it (folded) as a backpack. This would enable someone (like me) who's clumsy and can't rise from the ground without assistance, to actually take a walk safely, so as to get some needed exercise!
