Thanks for the shout-out! Love the content, keep it ocming!
Appreciate the abridged, well-edited gameplay. Nice to have all info on screen, important cards highlighted, and the well-written well-spoken storytelling.
@@Haze01Smash thank you. I definitely aim to make games as easy to follow as I can, which includes having cards on screen as they affect the game and talking through decisions unique to the scenario. Which I would not be able to do in the moment if it was just one unbroken shot.
Great video. Enjoy the game play with explanations
Who is your favorite hero to fight Juggernaut with?
Enjoy taking Colossus against Juggernaut, or Hulk against him.
@@Hugo-hl7sz Colossus is on my short list as well, I've been meaning to fight Juggernaut with the Down to Earth mod set. Theme the battle around keeping citizens safe.
Definitely Colossus...but I love pitting skill vs skill....so Quicksilver (Strength vs speed)...or Psylocke (Strength vs Mind) are fun!
Iceman is one of my favorite heroes so I was really excited to see them release a kit for him. Thanks for walking through it all, it was super informative!
Great video, thanks for the great content!!!
I enjoy playing Angel though it still seems like i've not grasped him yet...I feel there is potential there to really make him broken , so there's still a bit of puzzling for me..Adaptive Plummage is still the key I think..and of course to keep flipping..
Great look at Angel! I like to constantly flip with him and Ant-Man. I definitely overlook Aerial Agility, I forgot that you ignore boosts AND boost abilities with that, and that's huge against certain villains!
I kinda forgot about the power of Aerial Agility until I played some games to refresh my memory. Might make Ronin far more manageable.
That was fun! I can't imagine playing her in Justice. I like protection for almost solo action. She's super strong with Suit Up/Sidekick but that's a bit too good to be fun for long. Her obligation can miss if you were facing Hydra Prison with Zola or something similar.
@@jonathanpickles2946 happy to hear you like it! good call out on the obligation. Just after this video was released and watched once through, I started to remember all the scenarios that hide allies.
Sad that I only have Domino on this list. But I have X-23 and Deadpool on my wishlist.
Heya heya!! Is there an email or messenger account I may contact you with? Keen to propose something by way of deckbuilding!:)
I'm long time viewer from Rey Rey and SoloMarvelChampions, and newer one to yours. Great shout out, you're very cool to listen and watch! Deadpool might be the only hero i will never buy: too much gamble, and no "traditional" aspect card for deck building. But your video was nonetheless very well articulated, and you may start to change my mind. That's a thing, because I can be stubborn lol. Thank you for all your work!
@@alberttaco3668 Great to hear! It's funny how often people put Deadpool in a box and assume he's only a hero for the Pool aspect. But I do get the perspective that the aspect he comes with is undesirable. I have yet to land anywhere good with Pool, but I love Deadpool.
Exciting to see more content creators popping up for Marvel. Welcome!
Great video! It's fun to see new content creators pop up. I subscribed and I'm excited to see what videos you do in the future!
Great video! Here is my list. Aggression: She Hulk. The girl hit like a truck, and then she readies, and she hit like a truck again. Simple gameplan. The first hero I played, and still upthere in my fun/heart. Justice: I would say Black Widow, but I think Miss Marvel would be my pick. I mean Multitasking/Turn the Tide spam is just big numbers for cheap. And I'm all for it. Protection: I would say Iron Man, but it has nothing to do to actually protect people, so I would say Ghost Spider, but she's more into Basic for Web Warrior than protection really, so my pick will be Captain America. The Shield guy can do this all day. Leadership: I don't like that aspect very much, bu since Captain America is picked, I would go Captain Marvel no double. She has those triple energy resourced to build a huge command center in like 2 two turns, and Mighty Avengers/Avengers Assemble for The win. --- And Energy Channel for Game. Carol is no joke really lol.
@@alberttaco3668 great picks. She Hulk is a hero I want to explore again, soon.
Thanks for another interesting vid. I don't have Valkrie or Deadpool, but X-23 and Domino are great in the aspects you've chosen. I tend to be lazy and generally play heroes in the aspect they came with. My 4 choices would probably be Black Widow for Justice, with Coulson, Counterintelligence and some of Gambit's pack, Wasp for Aggression with Surprise Attack, Melee and Honed Technique, Magik for Protection, with Preemptive Strike for a perfect defence: for Leadership, I think I would go with Hawkeye - it's so satisfying when he gets Avengers Tower, Quincarrier and TBE and can just spam allies while firing off an arrow or two.
My favorite hero in Justice is Ms. Marvel. First time I beat Villain Goblin i used her as my thwarter and there was 0 threat on all the main schemes when I killed him. In Aggression, I also like Valkyrie especially with a scenario with minions for all the reasons you said. X-23 in protection is bonkers. With the readies she gets plus repurpose and what doesn’t kill me, she is devastating. I’m not much on leadership but Spiderman reoccurring Moongirl with suit up is one of the strongest decks I’ve ever played. In the Pool aspect it has to be Wolverine. His ability to heal plus using Healing Factor to get back 4 health every round and then berserker fury drawing cards, is crazy. I would leave minions on him just for the card draw. Played Green Goblin with X-23 in justice with Wolverine in Pool on expert and never removed the soldiers and never flipped down. Farmed cards like crazy.
@@Cindar92 this all sounds amazing and I completely see why you put the heroes in the roles you've outlined. Maybe I need to give "Logan Pool" a look.
Will watch this in full later tonight but came across your channel today and am a new sub! Love your video themes and just bought Iceman too. Played him once and love him. This video shall help me out for sure. Thanks!
I'm recently playing Laura more and really loving her! Like many heroes, she requires a particular approach, and it can be easy for her to tap out if you dont know how to pilot her...looking forward to watching this vid (just started now, as i type this!) :)
Hello!!! Oh thank you so much for the shout out!! Its very much appreciated...you're very kind! I love your channel and this series of hero breakdowns...! Deadpool is admittedly one of my faves...largely from following him in comics...to get to play and 'be' him is quite a thrill!:) I'll look to shout your awesome channel out too! Love the Marvel Champions community!:)
I forget about Retaliate on Lacing EVERY SINGLE TIME! Great video! I love how you talk about the comics. I have exactly zero knowledge of the comics lol. I finally got a shout for you in a video, but that one doesn't come out until the 20th (sorry, I had loads if videos already uploaded).
@@solomarvelchampion I'm with you, I forget that Retaliate is a keyword heroes can have all the time. Thanks in advance! I certainly know several creators that have said they might be six weeks out, just to compensate for being busy without showing it.
Upon recording this video, I immediately began working on a follow-up video regarding a topic alluded to at the end, which will be out on Monday. My favorite hero for each aspect.
I dealt 6 damage with Bishop's Rifle once, then dumped some resources into Super-Charged and attacked for 10. SO MUCH FUN! I agree, I think his Uniform is the best card in his kit, and my favorite is Energy Conversion (especially when your deck is thin)! But Super-Charged is Super too (pun definitely intended). And another shoutout is appreciated :)
Great analysis. I love Magik... I prefer to play Exorcism, Soul Strike and Magic Barrier from hand because I know what resource is on top of my deck. Magic Barrier, Stepping Disc and Limbo are my favorite cards, and Scrying is very high on the list too!
Thanks for the shout out! I feel bad for not shouting you out in my 500 sub video (but I didn't know you had a channel). I definitely overlooked his alter-ego action as well! Good analysis! I may play him against Klaw this weekend :)
@@solomarvelchampion You are welcome. I am a horrible self-promoter, but try to stay humble as a promoter of others. I'm excited to get back to gameplay as soon as next week.
As always, your videos are smart, fun, and unique. You always give me a laugh - thanks for the videos, hope you keep up the awesome work!
Honestly not having one of them in Justice and or leadership seemed really risky. You need someone to be handling threat. At least you got the win!
In hindsight, I agree. And I think this was the second game with this configuration, but I had too much riding on Jump Flip to blank an attack and remove some scheme. I did have a lot of trouble trying to make Thor Justice work, but I think another try might have been the right call.
No one else doing something like this with this awesome game. Keep it up man just earned a sub!
Thanks for showing all the cards! I was wondering what else she had. I see Gambit and Bishop taking huge advantage of her Justice cards!
@@jeffthompson1530 of course! This was a fun enough experience, I may just cover the full hero packs one-by-one eventually. Keep it a bit shorter. Going into the week, Gambit was one of the first heroes I thought about, as well.
As I'm doing my own third or fourth watch now that its up, i imagine this will get caught but: Shopping Spree has to be thwarted by alter ego, which doesn't contradict how i outlined using it, but still was something i read aloud incorrectly.
Very fun video. Love your take on the videos and the optimizing play!
Glad to hear it! I wanted to create something I just wasn't seeing be done yet.
Ooops, cheaty hero stuff -- remember Routed's effect that when you defeat a villain the next one immediately activates against you. Still a fun video.
Oh no, I was the cheaty hero, all along. 😨
@@TheMaskedHero They all are, its not your fault. :)
I am really enjoying your format and approach to your videos! It's different, truncated (in a good way), and incredibly enjoyable to watch. I hope you continue making them! The short videos are easy to watch and the way you walk through your games makes them easy to follow. Keep up the great work!
Thank you. Comments like this are immensely encouraging. I have more in the pipeline, it's just a matter of time to create.
I enjoyed how you did the commentary after the game with all the little fun bits.
Thank you. I certainly want to play to what strengths I have.
I really enjoyed this style of video with the streamlined narration and cutaway commentary
Thank you. I am so happy to hear that, as I felt edited down gameplay was more in my skill set than trying to keep up brain juice and charisma for a 25 minutes-long single-shot game. Plus, it might do more to make the game more approachable to people who have heard of it, but might not know all the cards.
nice channel, subscribed! keep it up mate! better go watch the first part :D
Thank you! I was just wrapping my draft of Ultron, so you have great timing.
@@TheMaskedHero very cool! press on with the yt grind!!
Ok time to binge watch these...two...videos! Haha...I really like your intro setup and I think that the challenge is a terrific idea.
Very cool! A game against Rhino in standard never sounded so epic 👊👊 I love the idea of this challenge. Thor is very underrated in my opinion, and his weaknesses tend to be over stated. The main one being he requires a scenario to have a ton of minions to be good and therefore he’s only good against a handful of scenarios. The thing that people so often overlook is the modular encounter set system. It exists for a reason. Well multiple reasons, but one of them is to tune a scenario to a hero. So Thor can easily be well played anywhere. And even without minions they gave him the Asgard card to compensate for a low minion scenario. In short, he’s just fine lol. He’s really fun and plenty strong enough I also completely agree with your thoughts Re Rhino and Klaw as they pertain to teaching the game Great job!
Hey awesome video keep them up 😊
