Two empires that were extremely weakened after the centuries of war with each other at the time. The arabs were always scared of both of them and lost most of their good land that wasn't useless desert to the persians. The cowardly arabs only attacked them after realizing how weakened they were. And they spread nothing but death and destruction and set the world back by many centuries by spreading their evil and primitive dessert religion. The effects of which are still felt to this day and still haunt the world. Also scimitars and curved swords were not invented by Arabs. They merely adopted it after they became popular. And even that was long after their conquest of those two empires.

besitze 2 von diesen Schwerter.. beide gehen durch 15cm dickes Bambusrohr, wie nichts durch. Alles eine Frage, des schärfens!! Und das eine wurde mal mißbraucht um einige Holzscheide zu spalten (war ne Wette) hat aber keinerlei Schaden davon getragen

Still watching your videos from Mauritius. This month i acquired a 2 handed longsword. Its quite fun to use but has weight.
This war sword has 2040 g. Weight and balance perform spectacularly against common longswords. Almost any strike cleans the line and if the longsword attacks, you can just counterattack to the hand without beeing hit yourself. It may be weak against thrusts, though. I couldn't try it yet because fencers with good thrusting skills refuse to fence against it...

Die war leider absoluter Mist. Normalerweise sind die Knäufe bei fabri armorum hartverlötet und wenn man die billigen Griffschalen durch gescheites Hartholz ersetzt (bewährt hat sich Buche), bekommt man ein exzellentes Schwert. Bei der Schiavona hat er eine überschwere Klinge genommen, den Korb wie einen Wackelpeter befestigt und den Knauf auch noch vernietet. Aus seiner Werkstatt habe ich noch nie solchen Schrott gesehen. Ich habe den Griff gemacht, den Korb befestigt, den Knauf verlötet und die Klinge ausgekehlt. Jetzt stimmt es, aber für den Preis hätte das ab Werk so sein müssen.
@@doppelwaffen Schade, wenn man teure Schwerter noch massiv modifizieren muss, bevor sie was taugen. Fabri Armorum macht ja vornehmlich Schaukampfwaffen, oder? Da erscheinen mir jedenfalls die Klingen immer sehr massiv und dick.
@@tuerkefechi Der Clou ist, dass fabri armorum für geringen Aufpreis komplett auf Maß fertigt. Du kannst Gewicht, Schwerpunkt, Klingenform, Klingenprofil, Schlagkante, Knauf und Parier bestimmen. Er nimmt den Auftrag nur an, wenn er eine Bruchgarantie geben kann.

what kind of training weapons do u use?
Custom designs by Czech fabri armorum. Their off-the-shelf sabres need some tuning, but in my opinion fabri amorum makes some of the best blades in the market. The shamshirs have been in service for 20 years.
