You are welcome to our house at any time, mi casa es su casa. Hopefully we'll meet up again soon. Safe travels and keep up the good work with the videos
You never talked so good about any place you have gone so far Sandra. Why didn't you stay longer?
I take it as an invitation to me😂
Great, so Bahamas the best. 🤗
And what Miami and Tornados 😮
First time watching you. Get a "dead cat" for your microphone to cut wind chatter. It's very annoying. You're also 4 months behind time. Going to watch a few more of your vids..
Any foam wrapped around the mic will cut the wind noise dramatically. That's why most camcorders have foam on the mic.
Thanks for your input. I have attempted to reduce the wind noise on the microphone and I have succeeded to some extent - the problem is remembering to use the protection. To be honest we really need to buy a high quality microphone but sadly we can’t afford it at this moment in time. I did sign up to Buy Me a Coffee a few months ago in the hope I could persuade people to fund a good microphone but I haven’t got around to advertising it yet as I am slightly uncomfortable with the concept. But I may get round to it soon. Wrt to the timing, we are a little further behind time than I normally like to be - this is largely due to the number of places we stopped at in the Bahamas combined with me only producing a video every fortnight - ideally I’d do it weekly but it takes me far too long to commit to a weekly video. Sorry 😳👐 But I hope you continue to watch our videos and enjoy what we are doing. Please keep up with the feedback - it’s very important to us. Many thanks, John
@@jimmarshall5453 Sadly not quite true. I’ll try and add a bit concerning our microphone issues in an upcoming video. But thanks for the suggestion. We really appreciate the input. Cheers, John
I lived on Eleuthera for 18 months and loved every day.
Yes it’s a fantastic part of the world. I wish we had more time to spend in the Bahamas. Thanks for watching, I hope you continue to follow us. Beast wishes. John
Why do you throw back the barracuda they are one of the most tastiest fish you can eat. I am Jamaican and we spear fish them often.
I agree, barracuda are very tasty and we have eaten them many times. However, on entering the Bahamas we were warned not to eat the barracuda as they contain toxins. The barracuda eat smaller reef fish, some of which contain toxins, and these toxins accumulate in the barracuda. The larger and older the barracuda the more toxin they contain. This toxin cannot be removed or cooked out of the barracuda. Hence the warning. In some countries ( the Maldives for example ) advise only eating smaller barracuda ( enough for a single person only ) as they are too young to have accumulated much toxin. But I have to say it aggrieved me greatly to put back so many nice fish! However, I think the reason we caught so many barracuda was that everyone in the Bahamas puts them back so they can live to a right old age and there are lots of them as a result!😳👐. I hope you enjoy watching our videos and thanks for commenting - we really like the interaction. Thanks again, John.
@@sandrajohnnewmanwarnock2232 point taken. I can see why you throw them back now. It was a pleasure talking to you as such. And I enjoy watching your blog. Take care and happy and safe sailing
Thank you very much and we hope you continue enjoying our travels😀👍
When I lived on Eleuthera, the locals taught me that when barracuda are traveling in a group, they spear them and eat them. When they are alone, they are more likely to have fish poisoning, so they either leave them alone or sell them to a tourist.
@@jimmarshall5453 Interesting but I’m not sure how we would be able to do that while sailing. We hope you continue to follow us and also please leave your thoughts and comments. They are very much appreciated. Cheers, J&S
Beautiful ❤❤
Thank you. I hope you continue to follow us and enjoy the videos. John
Lovely picture with the third generation 😂
It’s nearly two years old but we haven’t seen him since then and so no pictures with us 😳😢
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
❤
how long will you be in the Bahamas, maybe I can bring a new masthead windvane
Thanks for the offer but I had one sent to Miami. The problem now is fitting it! John
Awesome.
Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed it. I hope you will continue to follow us. John
Very nice! Enjoy
I enjoyed the video. How i wish i had that chance too to sail with my wife. Though I live over 700km from Mombasa in the Kenyan coast my wish is to one day take my wife to a trip to the coast. Its a pity that my wife and children have never seen an ocean. But this video has made me feel more motivated to work more so that I can make my wish to be a reality. I have already subscribed to your channel.
Thank you for your message and support. I hope you achieve your dreams 👍
Boy that lobster looked good. Good to hear youve so far escaped Beryl the Peril. All the best to you both. Phil SV Whisper.
Thanks Phil 😀👍
You had a really difficult sail. Always nice to wathch your videos. Thanks a lot. Cheers André
Thank you both for the video. Safe onward travels. :-)
So lovely
🦧
Hello beautiful family. Some sailors usually remove the solar panels when it's too windy .
Sadly that’s not an option with the size of our panels 😳
Sandra has definitely become an expert sailor 😊 I want her in our crew when Eric takes me around the world. 😂
😂
I’m not sure either of us are experts but we’re still learning!
HAVING A ABS BALL YOU 2 ABS JEALOUS SAFE SAILING LYLE
Two of the best people I have had the chance to meet in Long Island, Bahamas - safe travels and may the angel of the sea watch over you both!
Thank you very much for your lovely review.. we are sad we have not exchanged numbers.. best regards to your mum Becky & all the wonderful people we met in your party…. Most of all take good care of Brody we love his videos 🙏
Two of the most awesome and adventurous people I have gotten the pleasure to meet in Long Island, Bahamas! To fair seas and peace be to journey! Stay safe on the ocean.
Nice to see you guys are safe
Hey Donovan, great to hear from you and glad you are still following us. Hope you guys are well and hope to see you both in 2025!
Hey John, notbing wrong with the fan, you need to enure you are venting the hot air out by the top of that compartment. Maybe make a a : vent in the top enclosure, That way you are sucking cool air from the bilges and venting it out the top
Sadly opening a vent at the top is not possible - it’s the kitchen sink above. I don’t want to risk any water coming down from above 😳! However, I have fitted a second identical fan beside the first, so hopefully that will help 🤞👍
@@sandrajohnnewmanwarnock2232 Sorry John, I meant the top cover that you put in place at the 23:50min mark of the video. As hot air rises and with your 2 fans now that area should be cool
Thanks for that suggestion. Currently the fans are sucking air down from above and blowing it into the bilges. I did it that way as there is no exit above. But your suggestion to put a vent in the cupboard door is a good one - I’ll have a look at doing that. Thanks again. John
Hi John Trust you are doing well as well as Sandra.
Hi Christian, great to hear from you. Yes we are well and hope you are too. Brest wishes, J & S
Always so lovely. ❤
Thank you! 😊
You guys are living your best lives! So happy Sandra, your pal from the The Palace 😉
Thenks for the video. We almost lived thru your experience. I hope you didn't miss the opportunity to see "black Jesus" in portobello church :) .
Yes we have seen Black Jesus in Portobelo...thank you for following us...🙏
Happy birthday Sandra :-) we share the same day :-) though im much older.
Great to know another Adventurous Capricorn..😂
Did you ask about the Dutch man, "Bear"? Don't look far, ask at where there is water and diesel supply.
No sorry I forgot all about him. But we didn't see many locals - they kept to themselves.
Hi!
Fab...
Thanks Keith. Hope you are well and thanks for watching. Cheers, John
So this gentleman there is Archie's youngest son. Your mother told me about Annellies and Víctor Braun, Jean and Ian MacRae, Rita and David Kinnock and Mark and Peter. I also knew they have a property in Curaçao. I just didn't know that it was so close to paradise there. The place looks absolutely fantastic. Im glad I've seen Mark thanks to your videos. 😅 Pity I never met your uncle Archie, my grandfather's youngest cousin. I'm sure by now you already know Archie have passed away in hospital on Feb 12th. aging 94. Wish you all the best.
I cannot believe how much rubbish is floating in the oceans 😢 What was it?
Not entirely sure but it looked like a bit of the netting they sometimes use around the outside of building sites or events to stop people seeing inside. 👐
Pilot whales? You're right,to big for dolphins.
That’s what I thought originally but viewing the footage again, I was less certain. Thanks for the input. Very much appreciated. Cheers, John
Cool! Dolphins saying heh, to beautiful couple, keep living the dream y'all ❤️
Thanks, we’ll try to 👍
No kissing on camera guys! 😂😂❤❤ Love the enthusiasm with which sandra greets dolphins! Love it guys... Enjoy every moment
