Built my first one 50 years ago. Bought several more over the years because I came up with different ideas. Still one of AMT" s greatest although it could use updates with engine & interior for custom or street machine versions.

I have one of these sealed here in Brazil. and also a year 64 and another 65.

My second favorite Batmobile after the one from Batman Forever. Fantastic video!

I got no model experience, but I do remember that in the mid to late 70’s the KZ 900 was the baddest, fastest bike on earth. It looks so modest next to my Yama VStar 1100 lol. But back in the day? Nothin was gonna out run it!

Sorry, mate, no pinstriping and no body trim. The decal sheet is translucent, so you'll be seeing body color right through your side scripts and hood logo. There are no indentations for the front signal lights in the poorly-formed front end, and the whole thing looks like it was mocked-up over the chassis of a Ford J-car... which it was. The worst problem, though, is the chemical incompatibility between the styrene parts, and the polyvinyl tires. I'd get that single rim the hell out of there, at least until it's buried under three or four coats of clear. Cheers.

I searched for this and finally when ebay came along bought one. I was disapointed that it wasn't scaled correctly after the real car. It resembles it, but the shape is way off. They could have gotten correct dimensions but for some reason didn't. It was also odd that all the photos on the box were of the jump car (dune buggy) and not the unit 1 car or the stunt driving unit 2 car. I found that odd since the jump car looked dorky in comparison, and one photo even shows the front smashing. Why didn't they grab a still frame before it hit the ground? The drawing art is cool though.

Nice review mate. Building the same kit right now. Going to body painting right soon. The only problem i noticed in this kit are the door benders. Really small and imprecise. Actually I Lost two of then and creating new ones from the scratch. Hard job. Cheers from Brazil

I just used AMT's Canepa Kenworth T600A in 1/25th spare parts for the inside of the wheels. That model comes with several extra parts and the brake drums are a dead fit on this (Some surgery required) Batmobile's wheels,also replaced the plastic axles with metal tubing and that makes for a sturdier model. Thanks for the review,it helped me a LOT!
