Hey I’m using this song to audition for Jimmy awards and I would love any tips you have for the ending note.
Hey man! Sorry for responding so late, haha. Recently, what's helped me is focusing on supporting the breath flow. When I go into the higher register I try to think of my ribs as little bucket handles going out. Buoyant ribcage is what my professor calls it at school. Also - the classic, "don't push" for the note also works. A lot of it is a mental game. Don't think of the note as "the big note." It's just any other note! It has also helped me to think of the note before as a trampoline into the G; ALSO ALSO. You already sang an A-Flat earlier in the song, and that's higher than the G at the end. Let me know if this makes any sense, haha. And good luck!
