love all the references! it's been a while since i've read hitchhiker's guide, and i haven't seen or listened to any of the adaptations, so i feel like most of it went over my head, but the nerdiness is appreciated regardless. i have such fond memories of the "trilogy." and the drink sounds delicious but v intense! i guess with a name like gargle blaster, it'd have to be XD

I don't know anything about cocktails, but I imagined some kind of white creamy drink with red ice cubes (either based on a frozen red liquid, or with LED.) Bonus if the ice cubes zap you lightly, to help bring about visions of the dead dragon.
Ah, now that would be a fun thing to do. I don't usually do funky colored ice. I might need to give it a try soon...

Cannot wait to get into this one! Dead Country started a little slow for me but the setup at the end was something else.
WICKED PROBLEMS definitely kicks things into high gear! Globe-trotting action, major changes, glamorous outfits, very Craft Sequence in Bond mode, the way DEAD COUNTRY was in that Weird West mode.
I know you've done The Twisted Ones by T Kingfisher, but did you ever do The Hollow Places? Anytime I think of a really good horror book, I think of that one as it's the one that convinced me I liked more than Stephen King's take on the genre.
I read THE HOLLOW PLACES, right after I read THE TWISTED ONES, and I think I have notes for a drink somewhere too (a riff on an Irish Coffee iirc), but it didn't end up fitting into the schedule at the time. Might be one to revisit...
Gonna have to make one of these ASAP!
