Hi! My name is Luke and I'm a singer and composer from Melbourne, Australia. I am an a cappella singer mostly, with a classical background, but have experience in jazz, folk, rock, pop and blues. Beautiful. Simply beautiful. Not like the Ringmasters but beautiful. I think if a glissando was used on the last few noted of “Notre Dame* it would have really tied it together. And I I have to slightly agree with some of the others. The bass feels a little stiff but is solid on hitting the notes. It just needs more movement.

Everything in this is incredible. Except the lip sync. Other than that it's fantastic! It just now occurred to me that this comment might come across as me claiming it is not them singing. I am simply meaning he didn't match up his mouth movements with his own previously recorded vocals.
Totally fair comment! I suck at lip syncing - you can't imagine how many redos this took to get it close.... Enough haha. I'm more a harmony than a visual kinda guy 😂
@@lukeedy The harmonies are definitely well executed! It's not like I am some editing master. My video's can't even really be considered edited.
@@lukeedy Perhaps next time just record the recording session itself. And splice that footage together or something like that, if doing the whole song in one take is the problem. Would look and sound much more authentic. And well for one, no lip sync issues! 😉 Otherwise well done 😄
@@HunterZ20 hard to do as recording can be a repeating process haha. Em and I had a lucky break on this one, we were so obsessed with the ringmasters version we just smashed it out in a few takes, then suddenly had to record video. Bear in mind, this was a debut for us we always and still do this for fun and yolo haha.

Would love to hear it without the autotune! A couple cents off isn't a bad thing, it humanises it! :) I've listened to the Ringmasters perform this sooooo many times and this is one of the reasons its so great - it's not perfect! Keep up the great work :)
yeah I'm also wondering the extent of the autotune... at the beginning he sings the F2 at 1:53 as an F3, so I'm thinking he can't sing that low, got it, but then at 3:55 he sings the F2... so are they literally using autotune to hit notes that they can't even sing at all??
@@twinicebear775 Hey fellas -so to clear this up - all notes are reached naturally, but some are not our 'best' notes so are amplified by eq etc. I can't hit an F2 on a good day, so waited until a good day presented itself to record! and so forth :) hope that clears the air!
@@lukeedy I too would like to hear the version without melodyne/pitch correction. It's a bit aggressive for my taste - it obscures some of the lovely tone the two of you have

I think they also bumped up the tempo a bit to make some of the held notes go on for slightly less than the eternity that Ringmasters' lead had to hold them for.
The Ringmasters arrangement is pretty tough, especially on that last note. Well done.
